In the Sutra of the Collected Gapa, it says: Manjushri, I have explained the Dharma doors in an inconceivable way, like the sands of the Ganges River. Thus, from attachment and emptiness, non-emptiness, sentient and non-sentient beings, with characteristics and without characteristics, etc., to the three poisons individually and abandoning them, etc., each Dharma door is said to have been taught as many as the sands of the Ganges River. All of these are said to be one in the Prajnaparamita in the manner of impermanence. If one makes false distinctions about the Buddha's words, saying what is good or bad, what is Dharma or non-Dharma, or clinging to the idea that this is the Dharma of the Hearers, etc., all of these are abandoning the Dharma. One who abandons the Dharma, even if they repent sincerely three times a day for seven years without a single day's break, it will take ten kalpas to obtain forgiveness at the very least. Therefore, disparaging the tenets of oneself and others obstructs the cause of liberation for oneself and others, so this fault is very serious. In the practice of mantra, this is considered the sixth root downfall. The scope refers to the tenets of both internal and external paths. Some say it refers to the white Dharma of internal and external paths, but if that were the case, one would have to examine what the white Dharma itself is, which would become endless. Moreover, white Dharma cannot cover all tenets. Furthermore, except for the parts of non-harming and speaking the truth, etc., which are common to Buddhism, disparaging others is not a root downfall. Because there is reason to prevent disparagement from being applied to this, the tenets spoken by the scriptures and the great scholar Hero are correct. In the Great Commentary, it says: Tenets are the chapter on Suchness in the Prajnaparamita and the practice of mantra. This is said because the Brahman hermits to be tamed need to turn away from the views of the heretics. Moreover, if one does not show the valid means of refuting with reason, one cannot destroy their clinging to views. Therefore, for the time being, the tenets of outsiders are not made the object of root downfall. If that were done, the thought would arise that our own views are correct. Moreover, it is also necessary to specifically prevent the tenets of barbarians in the future, as prophesied. For the time being, it is taught out of necessity, for the purpose of taming the hermits, so in both the Root Collection and the Two Collections Tantras, for the sake of meaning, the evaṃ (藏文:ཨེ་ཝཾ།,梵文天城体:एवं,梵文罗马拟音:evaṃ,汉语字面意思:如是) is spoken.

Not proclaiming the "ga" of Evam, and in order to prevent outsiders from receiving it through body seals, it is not counted as accomplishment in the condensed tantras. To please the sages, it describes the turning of weapons and how the Kalki destroys the heretics, as well as explaining many elaborate lines, and so on. Later, having separated from views and knowing the place of wisdom, then all the limits of tenets will naturally be known as equal, and ultimately there will be no place for clinging. The thought is: it arises from hatred, jealousy, and wrong views, and solely from the mind that clings to the two places of debate. The main action is: with hatred in the mind, one verbally denigrates and curses everywhere. The time is: at the very moment when one completes a round of degrading speech. The way of falling is: generally the same. In terms of the object, the earlier ones are heavier than the later ones, with the very last being the lightest, among mantra, general Mahayana, Hinayana, and heretics. If one knowingly disregards the Buddha's teachings, it is the second root downfall. In a situation where one doubts whether the Dharma is correct, without the stainless direct perception of the eye of Dharma, but only with the pride of conceptualization based on names and so on, and the arrogance of being looked up to by people, one clings to what is not Dharma and makes a judgment, this is the downfall here. There is no downfall when: one eliminates wrong views by obtaining the eye of Dharma, and when one knows the faculties of those to be tamed and the time of taming, thereby turning away from a situation that will not become meaningful, and when one sees that if the tenets of heretics flourish, they will destroy the Buddha's teachings, and therefore protects the teachings with reason, and so on. Therefore, the father and son Nagarjuna, Dignaga, Dharmakirti, and other limitless lords of yoga eliminated wrong views with reason, thereby spreading the correct view like daylight. All their debates about the path and non-path, suitability and unsuitability, and so on, were entirely in accordance with the needs of those to be tamed, acting like the words of an illusionary person in a valley echo, and not clinging to their own tenets and attacking others out of hatred. When establishing one's own system, sounds and terms are merely tools for expressing intentions, and apart from that, they are empty of both referent and meaning.
