Regarding the instruction on the essence of mind, it is like a mute person tasting treacle, it is beyond expression. It is not a thing, and is without boundaries; it cannot be grasped, and cannot be seen; it is not a non-thing, but is fickle. Wal wal, rig rig, tur tur. The instruction is like one's own eye looking at itself. Or, even observing shapes, colors, directions, etc., it is unrelated to things. Even if one tries to artificially make it unconscious, it cannot be made to disappear, so it is unrelated to non-things. Furthermore, do not block thoughts, let them arise. One thought arises, two thoughts arise, they flow like lightning in consciousness. Like snow falling on a lake, when they flow and stay, whatever arises from the thoughts of the five poisons, do not accept or reject, arising and liberation happen simultaneously. Do not suppress all the consciousnesses of the five senses, relax, and instruct that all appearances and existence are the magical manifestations of your own mind alone. First, block thoughts. In the middle, mix thoughts. Finally, thoughts arise as the Dharmakaya. Instructing the illusion of thoughts as one's own mind is the mind of the Buddha, the mind of sentient beings, the essence of all knowable things, the Middle Way without boundaries, the basis of samsara and nirvana, the Tathagatagarbha, Mahamudra. Although there are many such names, the unmodified, relaxed self-mind, this ordinary consciousness, arises from its own power. In order to destroy afflictions, habitual tendencies, and cognitive obscurations, one needs an experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality without attachment and clinging. Even memory itself is not defiled by the experience of emptiness, not bound by faith, not obscured by subtle certainty. If one understands the meaning beyond thought, which is not inverted, then one understands the key to non-meditation and non-distraction. The instruction on non-differentiation between outer and inner is: because all dualistic clinging is illusion, one must know that they are without essence. Appearance and mind are non-different, outer and inner are non-different, self and other are non-different, pleasure and pain are non-different. It is important to know that the three poisons are non-different in the Dharmadhatu. The teaching on non-meditation, non-action, and non-extremes is: for things that are free from all elaborations, there is nothing to meditate on and nothing to be distracted from, and it is integrated with whatever way of acting. This view without extremes, which is not artificial, is the final determination of the Buddha's intention. In the past, although it has always been with you, because you did not recognize it, you clung to the selfless nature of mind as self, and clung to the appearance of no other as other.

From the knot of dualistic clinging, one is thrown here by previously accumulated karma. And by the karma accumulated here, one is thrown outwards, falling into places like fire pits and prisons.
