Therefore, the objects to be purified are the channels, winds, and bindus, and the purifier is the adventitious impurity. Because of complete purification, it is transformed into and abides as the pure form body. The channels are the body, the winds are the speech, and the bindus are purified in the mandala of the heart. The state of sentient beings who have not purified their impurities is that they abide in the impure or defiled form body. These were also clearly stated by the all-knowing Self-born Foot in the profound inner meaning. Contemplating the state of purity, he said, "The three bodies possess channels, winds, and bindus." Contemplating the state of impurity, he said, "Thus, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are formed from channels, winds, and bindus. Because they arise from the defiled nature of mind, they are said to be defiled emanations." In its commentary, it says, "Here, in the Mantrayana, the meaning of saying that birth is the Buddha's emanation body is that when the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are gradually perfected, the supreme emanation is the defiled form body. When it is purified without defilement, (Tibetan: བྷ་ག་, Sanskrit Devanagari: bhaga, Sanskrit Romanization: bhaga, Chinese literal meaning: Bhagavan) is the Dharmadhatu, the ten months are the completion of the approximation of the nature of the ten bhumis, which is wisdom. The mother is the Khenpo, the skirt is the Dharma robe, and the recitation of speech is (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ahaṃ, Sanskrit Romanization: ahaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: I). Its bodily practice and so on is the great light aspect of empowerment. The completion of those four states is that it abides as the Buddha of the four bodies, but because it is not realized, it is transformed into the body of samsara." As it is extensively stated with the authority of the Two Examinations and other scriptures. Third, there are four ways to explain this by combining the example and the meaning: the actual example is shown, it is combined with the meaning, the way of destroying by the two concepts is explained in order, and the way of obtaining the unchanging perfection is explained with the authority of the scriptures. The first is: "For example, until, the desired arises." It is said that the essence of mind, the Tathagatagarbha, is represented by an example, such as a precious beryl with its skin. Because it is obscured by the skin, the qualities of arising from the desired are not visible. In order to make those qualities visible, first scrape off the outer skin with a knife, soak it in alkaline water to increase purification, separate the coarse dirt, in the middle soak it in acid water, purify the fine dirt with a woolen cloth, and finally soak it in clean water, purify the extremely fine dirt with a thin cloth of Kashi, thereby making the obscuring skin

When all stains are completely purified, it becomes the source of the wish-fulfilling jewel, the most excellent of all jewels. Secondly, it is said, "Thus, thoroughly purify." It is said that, like the nature of the mind, the clear light, the essence of the Buddha, like a beryl (Tibetan: བཻཌཱུརྻ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वैडूर्य, Sanskrit Romanization: vaiḍūrya, literal Chinese meaning: lapis lazuli), although it fully possesses all the qualities of the Buddha, it is obscured by the opposing aspects of the six perfections, such as the afflictive obscurations of miserliness, the obscurations of knowledge that grasp as true in the three spheres, and the obscurations of equipoise between dullness and excitement. These three obscurations, like husks, obscure and do not reveal it. In order to purify these, first, in the four, three, and twelve of the path of accumulation and the four parts of the path of joining, purify the coarse afflictive obscurations. In the seven impure grounds, purify the subtle obscurations of knowledge. In the three pure grounds, the extremely subtle equipoise or the four sign-graspings should be thoroughly purified. As the noble Nagarjuna said: 'Like a precious beryl, always clear light, if it dwells inside a stone, its light is not clear. Likewise, obscured by afflictions, the dharma realm is extremely stainless, in samsara the light is not clear, in nirvana the light becomes clear.' The extensive meaning of these is explained in the "Inner Meaning Self-Commentary" of the Lord himself as follows: 'Because of possessing purity and afflictions, because of being pure from all afflictions, because of the dharma without distinctions, because of spontaneously accomplished non-conceptualization.' This is what is said in the Uttaratantra. This principle is difficult to understand even for the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas who have newly entered the Mahayana. But for the moment, an example will be given: like a large beryl (Tibetan: བཻཌཱུརྻ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वैडूर्य, Sanskrit Romanization: vaiḍūrya, literal Chinese meaning: lapis lazuli) with its husk, although it is with the husk, inside, the husk is not mixed with the jewel. Similarly, at the time of sentient beings, although the essence of the Buddha is obscured by stains, because it is not mixed, it is pure and possesses afflictions. Also, like a jewel that has a husk from the beginning, but that husk does not arise from the jewel, nor does it arise from other than the jewel. Just as purifying that husk, which does not arise from anywhere, becomes pure, so too should the obscurations of the mind's Buddha-nature be purified.
