All crops grow completely, steadily, and expansively, thus becoming the sustenance for all sentient beings. Secondly, stating the necessity and summarizing the present meaning, there are two points: the distinction between the necessary and the metaphorical meaning, and the special explanation of the way of symbolizing with metaphors. The first point has four parts: the necessity and the way of accomplishing the ultimate necessity, the metaphorical meaning summarized and shown, the metaphor combined with the three, and the absence of effort in the present meaning. The first point is: some things can be done without effort, but doing things has never been seen, therefore, in order to dispel the doubts of those to be tamed, nine metaphors are shown. Wherever these nine metaphors are widely and thoroughly shown, the name of the sutra itself reveals its necessity. The light of wisdom arising from hearing, adorned with this vast light, the wise will quickly enter all the realms of the Buddha. It is said that, for ordinary people, in their field of wisdom, the way of accomplishing some things effortlessly has never been seen, therefore, for the thoughts of those to be tamed, if the Buddha's activities are without effort, then doing things that benefit sentient beings in a naturally accomplished way is contradictory, thus doubts arise. In order to cut off and eliminate these afflictions and doubts, the way of doing things even without effort is clearly shown by the nine metaphors such as the image of Indra. That is to say, in any scripture, the nine metaphors symbolizing the Buddha's activities are clearly and thoroughly shown in detail and with reasons, the name of the sutra, that is, the adornment of the light of wisdom entering the Buddha's realm, itself reveals well the necessity of what the metaphor says, and the way of accomplishing the ultimate necessity. Hearing such scriptures and such commentaries, the pure light of wisdom arising from hearing, adorned with this vast light, the wise Bodhisattvas will quickly enter the realm of the Buddha, that is, the activities without effort and naturally accomplished, first through the way of understanding, and finally also through the way of practice.

That is to say. In this way, actually cutting off doubts about the activity is the near necessity, and entering the realm of the Buddha is the ultimate necessity. Secondly, the meaning of this is the hundred deities of lapis lazuli, the images and other examples are those, the nine aspects are said to them, and the meaning of their summary should be held firmly. Showing, speaking, spreading, transforming, wisdom, joy, secret of mind, speech, and body, and obtaining the nature of great compassion. As it is said, in order to express the meaning of doing things without effort, the examples of the images of the hundred deities appearing on the pure lapis lazuli ground, etc., for the nine aspects mentioned above, the meaning expressed by the example should be grasped, and it should be declared as follows: The example of the hundred deities shows the various manifestations of the body, the great drum shows the speech and speaks the Dharma, the clouds show the mind, wisdom and compassion pervading, Brahma shows the manifestation of body and speech, the sun shows the light of the mind and wisdom, the jewel shows the mind, the sound shows the speech, the void shows the three secrets of the body, and the example of the ground shows that it becomes the basis of all qualities, obtains the perfect nature of great compassion, and benefits all sentient beings. Thirdly, all diligence is always pacified, the mind without discrimination, the immaculate lapis lazuli hundred deities, the appearance of images is the same as them. Diligence is pacified as a vow, and the non-conceptual mind is the reason, the meaning of self-nature is the established meaning, and the example is the image of the hundred deities, etc. As it is said, when the perfect Buddhas accomplish the benefit of others, they enter by completely pacifying all the continuities of purpose and diligence, because the compassion that completely lacks and abandons all kinds of discrimination, the self-nature luminosity reaches the ultimate and manifests. For example, in the human world, the images of the lord of the gods, the hundred deities, appear on the ground that has become immaculate lapis lazuli, just like doing things without effort. In this regard, all the continuities of purpose and diligence are completely pacified
