显现是众生自己所造的福德之业所产生的。鼓声虽然离开了人的努力、产生之处、所依之身、以及发动的意乐之心，但是，这样的鼓声如何策励诸神趋向佛法并成就寂静一样，同样，佛陀虽然离开了说法的努力等等，但是，这样的佛法能使所化众生的痛苦寂灭，成就脱离苦难的涅槃。第二是：如若天界城中鼓声起，施予无畏能摧魔军众，犹如世间禅定无色等，能灭有情苦恼说寂道。如是说，譬如，天界殊胜宫殿中，虚空中所发出的大鼓之声，能给予天人无畏的布施，当诸天以粗暴之态生起烦恼嗔恨，与非天作战之时，战胜非天之军，消除贪恋欲乐的各种嬉戏，逐渐引导至菩提一样。同样，在所化众生的世间，修习禅定无色界的等持等等，依仗行善之因所产生的佛语，能彻底摧毁众生的因——烦恼和果——痛苦，寂灭所有痛苦，宣说无上寂静之道的大乘法门。第四是：何故于诸生，具足自性及，利乐神变三，是故胜士音，超胜诸天物，妙音之乐器。如是说，因为对于所化无边众生，皆能如其所愿，不只是暂时的利益，而是究竟的利益，能引导至善妙的果位，能给予利益，能引导至暂时的增上生之喜乐，能给予安乐，且具有神通之神变，以及普遍宣说的神变，还有随顺教化的神变这三种神变，必定能从痛苦中解脱出来。

Appearances arise from the meritorious actions performed by sentient beings themselves. Although the sound of a drum is separate from human effort, the place of origin, the supporting body, and the mind of intention, just as such a drum sound encourages the gods towards the Dharma and accomplishes peace, similarly, although the Buddha is separate from the effort of teaching the Dharma, etc., such Dharma can pacify the suffering of those to be tamed and accomplish liberation from suffering, Nirvana. Secondly: Just as in the city of the gods, the sound of the drum arises, bestowing fearlessness and destroying the hosts of demons, similarly, in the world, meditation, the formless, etc., can destroy the suffering of sentient beings and speak of the path of peace. As it is said, for example, in the victorious palace of the city of the gods, the sound of the great drum in the sky bestows fearlessness upon the gods. When the gods go forth in a rough manner, generating afflictions and hatred, and engage in battle with the Asuras, they conquer the army of the Asuras, eliminate the various games of attachment to sensual pleasures, and gradually lead to enlightenment. Similarly, in the world of those to be tamed, practicing meditation, the samadhi of the formless realm, etc., the Buddha's words, arising from the cause of relying on virtue, thoroughly destroy the cause of sentient beings—afflictions—and the result—suffering, pacify all suffering, and proclaim the supreme path of peace, the Great Vehicle. Fourthly: Why is it that for all beings, possessing self-nature, benefit, happiness, and the three kinds of miracles, therefore, the voice of the Victorious One surpasses the music of the gods. As it is said, because for the infinite beings to be tamed, all can be in accordance with their wishes, not just temporary benefits, but ultimate benefits, able to lead to a good state, able to give benefits, able to lead to the joy of temporary higher realms, able to give happiness, and possessing the miracle of神通(rdzu 'phrul，ṛddhi，iddhi，supernatural power)，and the miracle of universally proclaiming，and the miracle of following and teaching these three kinds of miracles, will surely be liberated from suffering.

因此，由于具备四种功德之法，能仁圆满正等觉所宣说的法音，远远胜过天物的琐碎乐器，因为后者并非有益、安乐和决定性的解脱。第五是：天界之中大鼓声，地上众生耳不闻， 佛之鼓声轮回中，地底世界亦能闻。 天界之中天乐器，成千上万数不清， 欲火熊熊燃烧故，奏响乐音为助燃。 大悲自性诸佛陀，音声纵然只一声， 亦为平息痛苦火，趋入寂灭之境界。 天界之中美妙悦意乐器声，乃是增长心中掉举之因。 大悲自性如来之语，乃是禅定系心策励思维之本。 总之，无论在哪个世间界，天神和地上众生安乐之因是什么？那就是周遍显现一切世间的音声，应当了知，一切都依赖于它。如是说。虽然天界的无量宫殿中，大鼓的声音遍布，但对于居住在地上的众生来说，却只有少部分能够听到。而佛陀宣说佛法的鼓声，时机成熟时，能够普遍传遍于应调伏的众生所处的地下世界，因此并非是少部分，而是非常殊胜的。此时，杰·赤列巴说：“这里所说的鼓声，应当理解为除了大鼓之外，属于天界乐器中普通乐器的范畴。因为这部论典是对前面‘生生世世’的广释。之前的论典仅仅用一个偈颂就阐述了大鼓与普通乐器的区别。有人或许会想，大鼓是地上的人等无法听到的，所以属于‘地上众生耳不闻’的范畴吗？并非如此。因为天界大鼓的声音所产生的四法印等，以及诸天放逸时所发出的劝诫之语，如今我们都能听到并谈论，所以不要自相矛盾。”如是解释。同样，天界之中，各种各样的天乐器成千上万，

The speech of the Thus-Gone One, who is of the nature of compassion, Is the very thing that encourages meditation, fixing the mind, and thinking. In short, in whatever world system, What is the cause of happiness for gods and those on earth? That is the sound that pervades and illuminates all the world, It is said to rely greatly on sound itself. It is said. Although the great sound of the drum pervades the limitless abodes of the gods, it is only a small part that is not heard by the ears of sentient beings who dwell on the earth. The sound of the drum of the Buddha's Dharma, when the time is ripe, pervades all the worlds beneath the earth where the beings to be tamed dwell, so it is not a small part, but is very special.
