Therefore, the cloud of compassion of the Able King (Shakyamuni Buddha) is the cause for the growth of the virtuous crops of sentient beings! Third: Just as cool, sweet, soft, and light water descends from that cloud, and because it is related to places such as salt on the ground, it becomes extremely many flavors. Similarly, the rain of the Dharma of the Noble Eightfold Path arises from the essence of the vast cloud of compassion, and due to the differences in the places of the minds of sentient beings, it becomes endowed with many flavors. It is said, for example, just as water with eight qualities such as coolness, sweetness, softness, and lightness descends from that cloud, although it falls as the same kind, it becomes extremely many flavors such as sweetness because it is related to the goodness or badness of the place where there is salt etc. on the ground below. The meaning is also the same, the rain of the Dharma of the Noble Eightfold Path arises from the essence of the cloud of emptiness, vast compassion, and oneness, due to the place of the minds of sentient beings to be tamed, that is, the difference in different aspirations, it becomes many flavors such as the Hearer Vehicle, that is, it appears as many kinds. The eight qualities of water are, in the commentary "Son of the Conquerors", it says: Cool, sweet, light, and soft, clear and without impurities, drinking it does not harm the stomach, nor does it harm the throat. As it is said. Here, the Seventh Lord said: All the scriptures, the Buddha spoke of only the ultimate meaning, because the ways of understanding of the sentient beings to be tamed are various, they are understood as provisional meanings, etc., therefore the distinction between definitive and provisional meanings depends on the sentient beings to be tamed. From the point of view of the Dharma itself, everything is only the ultimate meaning. It seems that this is the ultimate intention of this treatise, the Uttaratantra. Similarly, in the Encouragement to Increase Intentions Sutra, it is also said: The nectar of the Dharma is the supreme cause of Nirvana, the same taste, eliminates suffering, and falls like a rain. It changes its taste depending on the container. And, the teacher Hero Protector also said: For those who have many aspirations, and are gathered in many places, when one teaching is given, it appears as many. As it is said. Fourth, effortless entry, divided into two: summary, detailed explanation. The first is: generating joy in the supreme vehicle, and in the middle and

Just as one does not expect clouds to benefit or harm those who are harmed or benefited by them, similarly, the clouds of wisdom and love, which drop the droplets of subtle emptiness and vast generosity, etc., through skillful means, purify the afflictions of those who are devoted to the Great Vehicle, and increase the latent tendencies of self-grasping in those who are hateful, but without any regard for these, they cause the rain of Dharma to fall. The fifth has three parts: actually eliminating suffering, realizing change, and seeing the truth of the four noble truths. The first is: The cycle of birth and death in samsara has no beginning, and the path to go there is fivefold. Just as there is no fragrance in impurity, there is no happiness in the five realms. Its suffering is always like being burned by fire, struck by weapons, or touched by salt on a new wound. From the clouds of compassion, the great rain of the sacred Dharma pacifies and continuously pours down. It is said that, due to the power of the twelve links of dependent origination, which are encompassed by the three all-pervasive afflictions, the suffering of birth, death, etc., has no beginning, nor is it certain that it began from here. Those who do not cultivate the path of liberation are not certain to end here either. The path that beings travel to that place is the three lower realms and the two realms of gods and humans, making five in total. Just as there is never any fragrance in impure things, there is not even a slight chance of happiness in the cycle of the five realms, because it is a place of great suffering due to the three sufferings and the eight sufferings, etc. The particular characteristic of the suffering of samsara is that it is always continuous, like being burned by a great fire, stabbed by sharp weapons, and like the feeling of pain that arises from touching a new wound with salt, etc., it is extremely difficult to endure. The Buddhas, with their great compassion, wish to liberate them from suffering, and from the clouds of great compassion, the great rain of the profound and vast sacred Dharma, if practiced, will pacify those fires of suffering, and continuously pour down according to each individual's capacity and fortune. The second is: In order to realize that gods have death and transference, and humans have all kinds of suffering. Wise gods and humans
