Declaring the matter of manifestly increasing the fire of attachment to the pleasures of desirable objects is not beneficial. However, the perfect Buddhas, who possess great compassion, with just a single kind of sound, can completely pacify the fire of suffering of those fortunate beings who are to be tamed, along with its causes, and lead them to attain liberation. Therefore, it is even more excellent. Furthermore, the arrangements in the heavens are beautiful, and the various pleasant sounds that are delightful just to hear are causes for increasing the mind's wildness and distraction, so they are not happiness. The speech of the Tathagatas, who possess great compassion, is the very cause for the beings to be tamed to focus their minds on meditation and samadhi and to encourage thought, so it is happiness, and therefore it is even more excellent. In short, the sounds of heavenly instruments are not necessarily liberating. Moreover, in all realms of the world, whatever is the cause for gods and those dwelling on the earth, such as humans, to abandon suffering and increase great, uncontaminated bliss, that is the sound of the Buddhas, which, through the gateway of possessing the three miracles, pervades all realms of the world. Therefore, it is said that it necessarily liberates from suffering, so it is even more excellent. Here, with four shlokas, whether it is temporary or not, beneficial or not, happiness or not, and whether it necessarily liberates or not, are extensively explained. The sixth is: Just as one separated from the ear, Does not experience subtle sounds, Likewise, even in the ears of all the gods, It does not enter the path of the ear. Likewise, the most subtle Dharma, The realm of practice of the most subtle wisdom, Only a few minds free from afflictions, Can enter the path of the ear. It is said, for example, just as one separated from the ear does not experience subtle sounds and cannot hear them, similarly, those who do not have good fortune do not hear the Buddha's sound, and all the distinctions of sound, even those who have obtained the ears of the gods, do not enter the path of the ear, and some can enter. Similarly, the extremely subtle and profound Dharma spoken by the Buddhas is the realm that only the most subtle wisdom can experience, and it is also for taming

It does not become the path of hearing for all lineages, but rather it becomes the path of hearing for some fortunate ones who are free from afflictions, have supreme minds, and possess great merit. Third, there are five ways to illustrate how wisdom and compassion pervade through examples: briefly explaining the meaning of the cloud analogy; explaining it in detail; the way vessels transform; entering effortlessly; and associating the Dharma that alleviates suffering with it. First: Just as clouds in the summer season are the cause of abundant crops, effortlessly and continuously pouring masses of water onto the earth. Similarly, from the clouds of compassion of the Victorious One, the rain of the water of the sacred Dharma descends, being the cause of the virtuous crops of beings, descending without discrimination. Thus it is said. How is it? Just as clouds in the summer season effortlessly and continuously pour masses of rainwater, which is the cause of abundant crops, onto the earth. Similarly, from the clouds of compassion of the Victorious One, in order to make the virtuous crops in the minds of beings abundant, the rain of the water of the sacred Dharma descends without discrimination. Second, there are two: showing the meaning of the analogy, and explaining the meaning from the perspective of the similarity of the Dharma. First: Just as when the world enters the path of virtue, clouds pour down water and rain born from the wind. Similarly, in order to increase the wind of compassion and the virtue of beings, the rain of the sacred Dharma descends from the clouds of the Buddha. Thus it is said. How is it? Just as when worldly people enter the path of the ten virtuous actions, clouds pour down water and rain born from the wind's impetus. Similarly, in order to promote the manifest increase of the virtuous crops of beings by the impetus of the wind of compassion, the great rain of the sacred Dharma descends from the clouds of the Buddha. Second: In existence, transforming with wisdom and great compassion, unchanging and unstained, abiding in the center of the sky, possessing the stainless essence of the water of Samadhi and Dharani, the cloud of the Sage is the cause of virtuous crops. Thus it is said. For the beings to be tamed, transforming samsara with wisdom and great compassion, unchanging and unstained by nirvana, abiding in the center of the Dharma realm, the Dharma rain possessing the stainless essence of the water of Samadhi and Dharani pours down.
