The soles of the feet are well-established and level, marked with the design of a thousand-spoked wheel. In the Prajnaparamita, it is said that the palms also have the mark of a wheel. This is obtained from giving alms correctly. The shape is like the wheel of the hand, like a weapon, with a sharp point, and the sole of the foot is slightly round. 2. Not harming others and properly taking up virtuous dharmas, therefore the instep is full and equal, the heel is wide, and the ankle bones of the feet are not visible. 3. From saving beings who are to be killed from fear, therefore possessing the mark of long fingers equal to the palm. 4. Not separating others by subtle means, but following them with one's own four means of gathering, therefore the fingers of the hands and feet are connected by a web. 5. From giving various foods and clothes, the skin is smooth and youthful. Here, saying the skin of the hands and feet is repetitive with what is said below, "the hands are smooth, round, and without high or low places." 6. From giving abundant food and drink such as licking, the four ankle bones of the hands and feet, the shoulders, and the back of the neck, the seven parts of the body are high. 7. From taking the teachings of the five sciences spoken by the Buddha, the calves are like those of a gazelle, round, full, hard, and beautiful with slender shins. 8. From guarding secret vows and abandoning sexual activity, the secret place is submerged like an elephant king and a bull king. 9. Not harming others and gradually practicing one's own great virtuous deeds, therefore the upper body is full like a lion. 10. From giving medicine and properly practicing virtuous deeds, the shoulder blades are full without gaps. 11. From giving fearlessness to others through pleasant speech and good speech, the shoulders are well-rounded and beautiful. 12. From being diligent in helping others, the touch of the hand is soft, the shape is round, without high or low places, and beautiful. 13. From not rejecting beggars and extending the hand of giving, the hands are long and reach the knees without bending. 14. From constantly and tirelessly practicing the ten virtuous deeds, one possesses a body halo that is completely pure and without defilement. 15. Giving medicine to the sick

From the merit of offering and praising the Buddha: Because of giving, one possesses a throat that is as beautiful as a conch shell, spotless and without blemish. 16. Because one has abandoned meaningless words and led others to virtue, one possesses cheeks like those of a lion, the king of beasts. 17. Because one has treated all sentient beings with equanimity and abandoned divisive speech, one possesses forty teeth, twenty above and twenty below, equal in number. 18. Because one has maintained harmony among those who are in discord and always used truthful words, one's teeth are extremely pure, well-aligned, and without gaps. 19. Because one has given pleasing wealth to others and lived a pure life oneself, one's teeth are spotless, pure, and of equal height. 20. Because one has guarded one's own three doors of body, speech, and mind, and respected all beings, one possesses excellent, white, and sharp teeth. 21. Because one has only spoken gentle and truthful words, one's tongue is long and broad, one's speech is limitless, and its meaning is inconceivable. 22. Because one has given care to the sick, medicine, and other flavorful things, one is able to know the best of flavors. 23. Because one has spoken gentle and pure words, enabling all sentient beings to understand the Dharma, one possesses a voice as melodious as the sound of the self-arisen Kalaviṅka bird and the voice of Brahma. 24. Because one has looked upon all sentient beings with loving eyes, as if they were one's only child, one possesses beautiful eyes like blue lotuses. 25. Because one has looked without anger and without deception, one possesses eyelashes that are like those of a herd leader, smooth and unentangled. 26. From praising the supreme individuals: One possesses a white, spotless ūrṇā hair that beautifies the face. 27. Because one has given monasteries and other things, and respectfully carried the guru on the crown of one's head, one possesses an invisible uṣṇīṣa, located directly in the center of the head. Although some texts say "located in the center," most people say that this refers to "the head having an uṣṇīṣa." This is not merely a symbol of having an uṣṇīṣa on the head, but also shows that it surpasses the characteristics of sentient beings, as it is said in the scriptures: "The marks of the Buddha exist in the world, clear and complete, therefore they are supreme." 28. Because one is diligent in seeking the Dharma and has given dwellings and other things to others, one possesses skin that is pure and thin. 29. Because the Buddha, who is supreme among all sentient beings, previously possessed a pleasing body.
