Through light, wisdom is made manifest, liberating from the ocean of existence, dispelling the darkness of ignorance, thereby seeing the very nature that was previously unseen. Therefore, in terms of function, it is also exceedingly excellent. Sixth, illustrating the secret of the mind with examples, in three parts: how to accomplish desires effortlessly, how to abide constantly without effort, and showing similarity by being difficult to find. First: Just as a wish-fulfilling jewel, although without discrimination, simultaneously, for those who dwell in the realm of enjoyment, fulfills all thoughts separately; likewise, relying on the Buddha, the wish-fulfilling one, different thoughts, though various teachings are heard, yet it does not discriminate about that. It is said, for example, the wish-fulfilling jewel, the precious one, although without the thought of giving this, at once, dwelling in the nearby realm of enjoyment, the different thoughts of the petitioners, such as food, clothing, grain, medicine, and dwelling, whatever they desire, all thoughts are completely fulfilled separately without being mixed. Similarly, relying on the wish-fulfilling jewel of the fully enlightened Buddha, countless beings to be tamed with different thoughts of faith, such as the three types of beings, according to their respective capacities, will hear various teachings such as the three vehicles, and although the meanings of those are completely fulfilled, the Buddha, at the time of teaching the Dharma, does not discriminate at all with the thought of teaching this. Second: Just as a precious jewel, without discrimination, wealth of desire, effortlessly gives greatly to others, likewise, the capable one, without effort, how appropriately, for the sake of others, abides constantly as long as existence lasts. It is said, for example, just as a wish-fulfilling jewel, although without discrimination of intention, effortlessly gives the desired wealth to other petitioners, likewise, the capable lord, the Buddhas, without effort such as discrimination, how appropriately to each, for the benefit
