That which remains nakedly is called seeing the self-nature of co-emergent conceptual thought, or conceptual thought dawning as the Dharmakaya. Previously, when determining the nature of conceptual thought and cutting off the root of abiding, it is not like abiding in that way, there are not many that are not the sole self-aware and self-luminous mind without grasping. It is like the example of water and waves. So, is there a difference between abiding and moving? Is there a difference between conceptual thought and non-conceptual thought? For co-emergent abiding without conceptual thought, is there a need for a good cause or a reason to be happy? For conceptual thought scattering and wandering, is there a need for a bad cause or a reason to be unhappy? If you do not understand this metaphor, you will suffer a famine of meditation, so from now on, do not try to cut off conceptual thought from arising, but guard it in the moment of arising. When it arises, in order to guard the moment of arising, there is no need to specifically stop it, so do not have closeness or distance towards abiding and moving. This conceptual thought can replace all conceptual thoughts. However, temporarily take conceptual thought itself as the path, and even if conceptual thought does not arise, deliberately manifest and guard its nature. Otherwise, there is a danger of losing the opportunity to see the nature of conceptual thought, so strive to guard it, thus instructing and having them meditate for a few nights. If willing, you can also quote scriptures to generate certainty. The third is: As before, from the equipoise of the nature of body posture and viewing, allow the appearance of forms such as mountains or houses to clearly arise. When staring at what appears, does the appearance remain in luminosity without grasping? Does the nature of mind itself remain in luminosity? What is the difference between the two? Have them observe for a while. Even if they say it remains in luminosity without grasping, then, is the appearance of the arising appearance stopped and then remaining in luminosity? Or is it remaining in luminosity by meditating on the appearance as luminosity? Or is the appearance itself remaining in luminosity? If they answer like the first two, it means that there was no thorough decision before, so have them meditate again and make a decision. If you experience that the appearance of the form, that is, the appearance itself, without the part of the appearance stopping, just appearing without grasping, remains in luminosity, then, the introduction is: When the appearance of mountains and houses clearly arises, the appearance that you see, without needing to disappear or stop, the appearance itself, while appearing, remains in luminosity without grasping, that is seeing the nature of appearance. The previous nature of appearance

Like cutting off exaggerations when looking and deciding on appearances in the mind. Appearances have not passed, there is nothing within the mind-essence, except for the clear and empty mind itself appearing as appearances. It is like the example of the realm of dreams and the knowledge of dreams. As soon as appearances arise, they are naturally liberated appearances and emptiness without any grasping. Not grasping at appearances, the nakedness of appearances and emptiness, this is called seeing the co-emergent face of appearances or appearances arising as the Dharmakaya. Therefore, since emptiness has nothing good to take and appearances have nothing bad to abandon, appearances and emptiness are not different. If appearances arise, in order to protect them, do not block the appearance aspect. If emptiness arises, in order to protect it, do not fabricate the appearance aspect, but take whatever arises into meditation. There is no need to abandon or adopt or fabricate, and if it is reached by the mindfulness of practice, then all appearances and existence are the great seal of the Dharmakaya, so from now on, do not make affirmations or negations, or be close or distant to appearances and emptiness, but protect them. However, for a while, allow various different appearances to arise, but it is important not to be distracted from protecting the nature of not grasping at appearances. Thus, let them meditate for a few days, and if they are happy, also quote scriptures and generate certainty. Secondly, there are two aspects to identifying and meditating on eliminating faults: explaining errors and meditation faults; and showing that there are no meditation faults. The first is: Although the meditation of Mahamudra in the Dagpo Kagyu lineage is as famous as the sun and moon, it seems that various different ways of grasping the mind arise due to the differences in individual understandings. Although it is not appropriate to refute other schools, in order to generate understanding for those who trust in themselves, I will explain a little. They only focus on the state of mind, and the state of mind becomes like waves on the ocean, and the subtle and coarse appearances of the six consciousnesses are blocked, or even if they are not blocked, they are not clear, like a wall. If this is taken as meditation, the former is a very big fault, and the latter is also a fault called "lethargy." Also, if you stay in a state of unconsciousness without the feeling of whether appearances are clear or unclear, and take this as meditation, then you are distracted into the unstated, which is not the truth. Or, if you take the dazed consciousness between the cessation of the previous thought and the arising of the next thought as meditation, then it is a great fault because it is not grasped by insight, and even if it is grasped, you must think that you have not moved from the practice of Mahamudra, so it is meditation.
