To the Lama. In order to take refuge in all three times, in order to make the three times grow and expand, I offer with the ocean of offering clouds of the three times. The glorious Karmapa who possesses virtues, Thinking well of his deathlessness and abiding, Though searching for a refuge in every direction, I found none. If you always please the complete Buddha, Since you have no regard for me, May the protector of samsara and nirvana protect me inseparably. This was written by Mikyö Dorje. From the fullness of the cool white rays of excellent wisdom, In the glory of the blooming utpala of liberation, Gathering the clouds of youthful fortunate bees, May that moon of speech be victorious. A great ocean treasury where rivers of wealth converge, Filled with jewels that accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, Waves of activity spreading to the ends of the directions, May that glorious lama be victorious. Like a white banner of Dharma's fame written on all the ocean-clad ones, Whoever has become the glorious protector of samsara and nirvana, May the activity of the fortunate Dharma Lord increase. All Buddhas of the three times are born from you, From all Buddhas, you alone are born, The one and only king, precious lama, May your health be good and your activity increase. Refuge of samsara and nirvana, protector, lama, The source of happiness and well-being for all of samsara and nirvana, Whatever prayers are made, you hold them in mind, I pray for your blessings, Whatever the lama says, I take it as a measure, I look well at whatever you do, and mix my heart and mind as one, Since I accomplish all the activities you entrust to me, I pray for your blessings for a long life. ༈ First, he was born in the realm of the emanation of Manjushri, In the middle, many intelligent ones sought him with effort, Finally, to awaken from the sleep of delusion, I offer the supreme feast of the nectar of wisdom. May supreme satisfaction arise in the wheel of enjoyment, May unprecedented wisdom arise in the wheel of Dharma, May the wheel of great bliss pervade the three doors, I offer the lama Buddha with excellent tea nectar. Endowed with perfect color, smell, taste, and power, My own aggregates and elements delight the mandala of the victorious ones, With my own form endowed with faith and samaya, May the sacred lama be inseparable from me. Born in the land of Oddiyana, Guru Padmasambhava himself, An emanation holding the dark blue vajra and bell, I offer to the lotus-born father and mother, That one in the cool charnel ground.
