With a single word of wondrous eloquence, causing the great earth to shake six times, cutting off the eloquence of evil opponents, I prostrate at the feet of Diknaga. Whose light, victorious in all directions, fills the world, and whose fame is equal to that of the lotus, I prostrate at the feet of Dharmakirti. On the golden mountain of good tradition, the sun of the asceticism of the Sage rises, the lotus garden holding red robes flourishes, I prostrate at the feet of Gunaprabha. In the sky of excellent speech, the moon of intelligence rises, causing the kumuda of those to be tamed to bloom, I prostrate at the feet of Shakya Prabha. The stream of nectar of the six ornaments' excellent teachings, which is well held in whose throat, and eliminates the poverty of the snowy land, I prostrate at the feet of Gampopa. From the teaching and practice of that lineage, holding the three lands of definitive meaning, defeating the asuras of the wrong side, I prostrate at the feet of Rangjung Dorje. Having trained well for many kalpas, being taken care of by the supreme deity, and seeing the meaning of all sutras and tantras, I prostrate at the feet of the great Manjushri. The name of the sixth Buddha of the future, with countless wondrous emanations, making the Buddha's teachings flourish, Karmapa, I prostrate at the feet of Chodrak Gyatso. Thus, the tradition of the Sage, the six ornaments and two supreme ones of the world, and the four ornaments of the teachings of the snowy land, through the power of respectful supplication, may I in all lifetimes become a beautiful ornament of the Buddha's teachings, and attain the supreme state of possessing all the qualities of learning, contemplation, and meditation. The six ornaments that illuminate the world, the six who are widely known. In particular, from the great charioteers Nagarjuna and Asanga, who were repeatedly prophesied by the Buddhas, the rivers of all the transmitted scriptures converge, flowing as one, known as the Kagyu lineage. To all those who have become the protectors of beings, I always respectfully prostrate with body, speech, and mind, may they always hold me in all lifetimes. Karmapa, who accomplishes all the activities of the Buddhas of the three times in the fields of the ten directions, may auspiciousness and well-being arise today for the one known as Chodrak Gyatso.
