To the pure mind's eye that perfectly discerns, Illuminated by the light of the Buddha's teachings, Appearing as the limitless expanse of knowable things, Wise one... Whose fame blazes with pride on the peak of renown, Whose wisdom mandala radiates rays of speech, Opening the lotus of the fortunate ones' minds, And dispelling the darkness of ignorance. Wise one... With the diadem of holding the scriptures in the snowy land, Your lotus feet are beautifully adorned, With the sound of the lion roaring with reason, Frightening the packs of foxes who speak of doctrines. Wise one... With love, you guide fortunate beings, And spread the Buddha's teachings in all ten directions, A place of worship for all beings, including gods, To the supreme lord of humans, I bow my head. In this degenerate age, for the Buddha's teachings, You are like a second teacher, with perfectly clear wisdom, A compassionate bodhisattva bearing the burden of the teachings, You, the most beautiful of all... You take on hardships and do not fear even for your life, Having gone to India, you translated both sutras and tantras, And in this land shrouded in darkness, You made the teachings clear... In this snowy land of the north, unlike others, You possess the supreme skill of unequaled wisdom, Frightening the herds of arrogant deer, You, the lion among humans... You are the lord of the snowy land, the master of the Buddha's teachings, Known as the teacher, the architect of the three realms, The translator who has received the Buddha's prophecy, At the feet of Lodrö Sherab... With a pure mind, taking on diligent effort, Having prayed to you with compassion, Through the power of merit and pure aspirations, May I and all limitless sentient beings, You, Lodrö Sherab, who bear the burden of the teachings, When you become the teacher of beings, Having become a disciple guided by you, May we be completely victorious over the battle of afflictions! Having completely renounced attachment to the five desirable qualities, Which are unsatisfying to enjoy and of little happiness, In life after life, at your feet, May we strive for renunciation and desire to hear the teachings! With the hook of your compassion, great being, Especially having taken me and others with devotion, May you bless these palaces where we reside, To flourish with enjoyment and Dharma! In all lifetimes, may we never be separated from the true guru,

The praise of the three superiors: By the power of Lala Rasadhatu's purity, Possessing lotuses moistened by the three solitudes' nectar, The rain of indestructible essence is also the life of the vajra, I pray to the feet of the great translator. The sixteen parts of the net of illusion are complete, The rays of the twenty suns shine forth, Having crossed beyond the great delusion of attachment, hatred, and ignorance, I pray to the feet of the great translator. Gathering all things by attaining enlightenment, In an instant, space appears, dust and darkness are supremely complete, Tasting the unchanging essence of wind and subtle energies with various flavors, I pray to the feet of the great translator. The joyful vows, the glorious union, The all-pervading Kalachakra, the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, The Vajra Master manifested as an emanation, I pray to the feet of the great translator. May I also, with the wisdom Bhagavati, And Heruka, equally enter into great bliss, By the blessing of the supreme lineage lord on my crown, May the great translator grant me accomplishments. In the darkness of the northern direction, Like the sun rising on a snow mountain, To the one called "Thospa Ga" (Hearing Delight), I respectfully bow. Born in the northern region, Without being stained by the faults of the world, Possessing the wonder of practicing austerities, I pray to the supreme Mila. Tasting the flavor of great bliss, beyond words, Bound by the mudra of the three realms' purity, Born together from the path of cremation, I pray to the supreme Mila. Relying on the profound coarse appearances and subtle essences, The subtle experience blesses the self, The lord of the secret mandala lineage, I pray to the supreme Mila. Unleashing the seed of the immaculate consort, Taking the path of existence with compassion, Manifesting as a powerful form, I pray to the supreme Mila. May I also not abandon samsara, Nor enter into the peace of nirvana, May the supreme accomplishment of Mila, the lord of space-goers, be attained. In the supreme pure land of dense array, The unequaled, immovable Dharmakaya is manifested, The peaceful body is inconceivable.
