With swift and courageous hands, may the auspiciousness of the lotus-bearing mother prevail! Then, the method of supplicating Shakyamuni Buddha and the assembly of Arhats is as follows: Palms held flat like mirrors, adorned with precious jewels. In the center of the earth, adorned with trees and lakes, upon a quadrangular mansion made of jewels, with four doors, upon a seat adorned with lotus, sun, and moon. The protector of beings, who with compassion places the beings to be tamed in this age of strife on the path of liberation. I request the supreme Shakyamuni Buddha and the great Arhats, together with their retinue, to come to this place. All the Buddhas of the ten directions, together with their bodhisattva retinues, the fire of wisdom blazing, drying up the ocean of afflictions, abiding in the field of liberation and merit, I request the Shravaka Sangha of the ten directions to be present. Inviting you to the place of offering and purification, for the benefit of beings, I request you to come with offerings. The Buddha's teachings of the protector of beings, Shakya Simha, who holds them in his hands? The great Arhats who open the precious casket of scriptures, I request you to be present. Inviting you for the sake of spreading the sacred Dharma, for the benefit of beings, I request you to come with offerings. Those who were entrusted by the Buddha, holding the victory banner of the teachings, abiding in Yanglakshana and Anavatapta Lake, Ajita, the son of Vajriputra, Bhadra, Kanakavatsa Bharadvaja, Kanaka Maha, the venerable Bakula and Rahula, Chudapantaka Bharadvaja, the mendicant, Panthaka, the Naga host, Gopaka, and Abheda, for the benefit of beings, I request you to come with offerings. Even the Buddhas, perfect in abandonment and wisdom, take the form of Shravakas due to the influence of those to be tamed, and especially those who protect the Dharma with extraordinary activities, I request the sixteen Arhats to come here and sit on the seat. Taking the words of the Sugata as paramount, protecting the teachings, abandoning self-interest, in the forest of samsara, wholeheartedly working for the benefit of others, the sixteen Arhats, by the power of their vows and compassion, come to this place. Hearing the words of truth from the lay devotees seeking refuge, I request the attendants of the Three Jewels to be present. Inviting you to the island of merit and jewels, for the benefit of beings, I request you to come with offerings. Unparalleled, never tiring to behold, a golden body, beautiful and adorned, one face, two hands, sitting in vajra posture.
