May the stains of delusion be cleansed, may the fruit of purification, the stainless Dharmakaya, be manifested! To sever imputations on the ground is the confidence of view, To maintain that without distraction is the key to meditation, To practice diligently all the meanings of meditation is the supreme conduct. May I be endowed with the confidence of view, meditation, and conduct! All phenomena are the magical displays of the mind, The mind is without mind, empty in its very essence. Empty and unceasing, appearing as anything whatsoever, Having examined well, may the root be severed! Unexperienced self-appearance is mistaken for an object, By the power of ignorance, self-awareness is mistaken for a self, By the power of dualistic grasping, one wanders in the expanse of existence. May the root of ignorance and delusion be severed! It is not existent, even the Victorious Ones have not seen it, It is not nonexistent, it is the basis of all samsara and nirvana. It is not contradictory, it is the path of union and the Middle Way, May I realize the nature of mind, free from extremes! This is, there is nothing by which it can be indicated, This is not, there is nothing by which it can be negated. The nature of reality beyond the intellect, uncompounded, May the limit of the true meaning be ascertained! If this is not realized, one wanders in the ocean of samsara, If this is realized, there is no other Buddha. Everything is this, nothing is this or not this, May I recognize the flaw of the ground of all, the nature of reality! Appearing, it is mind; empty, it is mind, Realizing, it is mind; deluding, it is one's own mind. Arising, it is mind; ceasing, it is mind, May all imputations be severed in the mind! Without being corrupted by contrived, effortful meditation, Without being stirred by the winds of ordinary distraction, Knowing how to rest in the uncorrected, natural state, May I be skilled in practicing and maintaining the meaning of mind! May the waves of subtle and gross thoughts subside in their own place, May the river of unwavering mind naturally abide. Free from the stains of sinking, dullness, and turbidity, May the ocean of calm abiding be unmoving and stable! When repeatedly looking at the unseeable mind, The unseen meaning is seen clearly as it is. The very moment doubt is severed about what is and is not, May I recognize my own face, without error! Looking at objects, one sees the objectless as mind, Looking at mind, one sees mind as empty in essence. Looking at both, dualistic grasping is liberated in its own place. May I realize the nature of the clear light mind! Free from mental fabrication, this is the Great Seal, Free from extremes, this is the Great Middle Way, This is the all-encompassing Great Perfection.

May it also be so. May I gain the confidence to realize that understanding one thing understands all! May the great bliss without attachment be continuous. May the clear light without name-clinging be free from obscurations. May the non-conceptual, spontaneously accomplished, be beyond the mind. May effortless experience be continuous! May the clinging to good and bad experiences dissolve in its own place. May bad thoughts and delusions be purified in the realm of their own nature. May ordinary knowledge be free from acceptance and rejection, without attainment. May I realize the truth of the uncontrived nature of reality! Although the nature of beings is always Buddha, Due to not realizing it, they wander in endless samsara. May unbearable compassion arise in my being For sentient beings with endless suffering! May the power of unbearable compassion not diminish, And may the essence of love, emptiness, dawn nakedly. May this supreme path of union, free from error, Be cultivated day and night without separation! May the eyes and clairvoyance arising from the power of meditation, Mature sentient beings and purify the Buddhafields. May the aspiration to accomplish all the Buddha's teachings be fulfilled. May the three, completion, maturation, and purification, be perfected and become Buddha! By the compassion of the Buddhas and their children in the ten directions, And by the power of all the white virtues that exist, May this pure aspiration of myself and all sentient beings be fulfilled as it is! The Aspiration of the Definitive Great Seal, composed by Lord Rangjung Dorje. Furthermore, the Bardo Aspiration: In this life, the next, and the bardo, I seek refuge in the protectors, I supplicate the assembly of gurus who hold the lineage. By the karma of clinging to illusory appearances as true, Please guide beings wandering in the six realms of samsara. Before reaching the place of rebirth, in the intermediate state, Deprived of autonomy, swayed by the force of karma, At that time, with the particularly pointed instructions, May I fully grasp all the methods of taking the path. If examined, there is no beginning or end, Free from the bardo. If, in the face of illusion, it is merely a dependent arising, Then all of samsara and nirvana are included in the bardo, May I gain confidence in the teachings of the Buddhas. In the ultimate truth, the nature of the Middle Way, free from extremes, Resides between the two clingings and the two dharmas. All is that, that is all, May I meet the face of the nature of the bardo of reality. By the power of the continuous connection of conventional illusion, Like a spectacle affected by a magical mantra, Anything impossible is possible.
