Obtain the supreme accomplishment. In general, if you go to the mountains with the best intention, you will obtain the best accomplishment; if you go to the mountains with a medium intention, you will obtain a medium accomplishment; if you go to the mountains with a low intention, you will only increase virtue and avoid obstacles. As it is said, it is very important that the acceptance and rejection of aspiration are not reversed. If you think that you must obtain the name of a lama, or think that if you obtain this name, you will obtain wealth that is not lacking in expenses, or want to be more superior than other fellow practitioners, or want to be like other lamas, etc., you must never have these reversed desires. Once you enter the mountains to practice, you must never be separated from the intention to accomplish the state of union Vajradhara in one lifetime for the sake of all sentient beings who pervade the sky. From a flawless seed, when moisture and warmth are abundant, good fruits will ripen in due season as desired. Possessing the mind of enlightenment, through the profound practice of generation and completion stages, one can also obtain the fruit of the four bodies of union in this life. So it is said. Secondly, for a practitioner who has such a pure mind of enlightenment, the internal conditions, the order of rituals for the recitations needed for three years, the melodies of the recitations, the making of tormas, the practice of offerings, the playing of drums, blowing, and strumming, etc., must also be known without hesitation. It is absolutely necessary to understand the words and meanings of the oral instructions given by the lama, and to understand the guiding texts. In particular, it is indispensable to have a mind that is renounced from samsara, compassionate towards sentient beings, and has unwavering devotion like a mountain with the perception of rarity towards the Dharma and the lama. For the external conditions that are needed, first of all, there are the books. "The Chariot for Traversing the Noble Path, the Preliminary Practice of the Great Seal," the Ninth Je's teachings, "The Essence of the Meaning of the Great Seal, the Heart Essence of the Ocean of Definitive Meaning, the Light of Activity," "Dispelling the Darkness of Ignorance," "Pointing Out the Dharmakaya," Jamgon Lodro Thaye's teachings, "The Lamp of the Definitive Meaning of the Great Seal." The supporting texts for these, Gampopa's teachings, "The Jewel Ornament of Liberation." The Seventh All-Knowing Rangjung Dorje's teachings, "The Great Seal Prayer" and its commentary, Situ Tenpai Nyinje's teachings, "The Oral Instructions of the Accomplished Ones." The Sixth Je's teachings, "The Sadhana of Vajrayogini: The Swift Path of the Great Secret, Clearly Showing the Guide," and its generation stage deity guidance, a condensed explanation.
