, and the four characteristics of mind, and their four characteristics, a total of fifty-eight causes that arise together. The four characteristics of conformity, like the king's close attendants, focus on their own four characteristics, so the remaining fifty-four are causes, according to the Kashmiris. The Nyogpa say that the ten characteristics of the multi-ground also resemble the king's close attendants, so fourteen are conforming causes. The Kashmiris say that because it is the fundamental characteristic and has great power, it is a conforming cause. From the Vibhāṣā, from the four truths, the distinction between the cause of the view of the collection of fears and the four distinctions of cause and effect has been made, so know it. The meaning of the word is: it can be either the same basis or different basis. Third, the definition of the equal share cause is: if it is considered that the last aggregate of the Arhat is the cause of the non-arising dharma, if all conditioned dharmas are not accepted, then except for that. The definition is: the similar former produces the similar latter, and can distinguish, that is, similar to any of the three, such as virtue. The meaning of the word is: because it is the cause of similar dharmas. The difference is that the contaminated similarity is that among the five categories to be abandoned, it cannot be distinguished by other categories, so it is the same in its own category. Similarly, the non-virtue and obscurations to be abandoned by seeing suffering are also mutual causes. Moreover, different grounds are cut off from categories by the bondage of craving, so they do not function with each other, so they are only their own ground. Moreover, it must be the same continuum, and it must function, like the similarity of the eyes is not. However, there is no obstacle to the establishment of the parents' seed producing the son's body, and the external warmth and moisture producing the body born from it, so it is explained. Moreover, because simultaneous and subsequent arising cannot be distinguished, the past and present that have already arisen as the fruit are the causes of subsequent arising and non-arising. The self-category ground is contaminated, but for the uncontaminated path of the nine grounds such as the invincible, like a guest who suddenly comes to that ground, there is no interruption by craving, so the upper and lower are mutual causes, and that is also born of effort, so it is not an inferior cause, but an equal and superior cause. The seeing path is the cause of the seeing path itself arising, and not arising, and the superior two upper paths. The meditation path is that

It is neither the cause of the non-learning path, nor the cause of the inferior seeing path. The non-learning path is the cause of itself. The same applies to others. The contaminated action-born is also only those two, equal and different, not inferior, because effort would become meaningless. It is hearing-born and thought-born, etc. The hearing-born is the cause of itself and thought and meditation, the thought-born is the cause of itself and meditation-born, and the meditation-born is the cause of itself. Other action-borns are also applied in the same way. In reality, innate virtue and afflictions are causes to each other, large and small. The four unspecified are also the cause of oneself and the above. Fourth, the basis of the co-existent cause is mind and mental factors. The characteristic is that the support and faculties are the same, so the other four must be the same, so they are the five co-existents with the same meaning. The difference between simultaneous arising and these two is that from the perspective of becoming cause and effect to each other, it is simultaneous arising, and from the perspective of the five co-existents being similar and able to function, it is co-existent. For example, all guests are friends who are free from the dangers of the road, and in particular, the same group of guests are also friends who share the burden, etc. In the two explanations of the King's Son, it is said that there is a difference in the understanding of the object. The meaning of the word is the same as simultaneous arising. Fifth, the basis of the all-pervasive cause is the thirty-three called all-pervasive, other than those who have attained it, and their retinues, etc. The characteristic is the uncommon cause of the afflicted ones. For example, generating attachment and aversion of self-grasping, and wrong views, killing, etc. This is universally initiating, so it does not need to be of the same kind. The earth cannot function on others, so it is only its own earth. Simultaneous and subsequent ones cannot universally initiate, so the all-pervasive is only earlier than the result. Equal potential is only to make it understood. The meaning of the word is that it is the cause that pervades all afflicted ones. Sixth, the basis of the ripening cause is only the non-virtuous and virtuous contaminated, whose own nature is powerful and has the moisture of craving. The unspecified is craving.
