Our fruits are, the three suchnesses of knowledge, and the three of endurance's desire realm abandonment of what is to be seen, totaling six. The fruit of subsequent knowledge combined with endurance is, two of knowledge and three of endurance, totaling five. Third, the determination of number: If the first two of what is to be seen are abandoned one at a time, why are there not eight abandonments of what is to be seen? Because there are three causes for establishing perfect knowledge: the attainment of abandonment's separation being held by the uncontaminated, and that cause causing a slight decline in the peak of existence, i.e., abandonment, and the first two of what is to be seen, both causes of co-emergence being completely destroyed, i.e., abandonment, therefore it is established as perfect knowledge. At the time of the Dharma-knowledge of suffering, the second and third causes are absent, and at the time of subsequent knowledge, the third cause is absent. At the time of the Dharma-knowledge of origin, all three causes are complete, therefore it is made into one perfect knowledge, and when abandoning the latter two categories, each cause is complete, therefore perfect knowledge is also established separately. If it is said that the perfect knowledge of abandoning what is to be cultivated should also be divided into nine from the perspective of the grounds, or that on each ground there are nine to be abandoned, therefore there should be eighty-one types. To this, in addition to the previous three causes, the fourth cause is that perfect knowledge is established from the extremely abandoned transcendence of realms. Merely abandoning the great, medium, and previous grounds does not fully possess the appropriate causes. When all the great and medium are completely abandoned, then it is fully possessed, therefore there are only three. Here, it is merely refuting the many and few, and revealing the determination of number based on how much is taken into account for summarizing. The fourth part is, the persons who do not possess and who possess. The first part is: Which person possesses perfect knowledge? A complete ordinary person does not possess perfect knowledge, because the causes are not fully possessed. From this, it is inferred that even the noble one abiding between the five moments of the path of seeing does not possess it. The second part is, the two of reality and refuting debate. The first part is: How much do those on the path of seeing and the path of cultivation possess? First, the one abiding in the sixth moment possesses only the first one; at the time of the eighth moment, possesses the first two; at the time of the tenth moment, possesses the first three; at the time of the twelfth moment, possesses the first four; at the time of the fourteenth and fifteenth moments, possesses the first five, therefore they truly possess from one to five. Second, if one abiding on the path of cultivation has attachment, then from the sixteenth moment to the abandonment of the eighth ground, they possess the first six, and are non-returners.

The one with attachment to form has only the seventh, or the one without attachment to form has both that and the eighth. The Arhat has only the last one. Since that is non-learning, it is not appropriate to abide in the path of meditation, if asked, it is because there is only familiarity with seeing. The second is: If asked, why are the individual realizations of the once-returner with attachment to form and the Arhat established? The reason for that is: when renouncing desire from the realms and proclaiming the attainment of the fruits of the ascetic conduct, for all that is abandoned, separate abandonment and attainment are established, and for the sake of attaining one, those realizations are also combined. The fifth is: Which person obtains and abandons how many realizations? The non-returner with attachment to form, and some of the Arhats who have fallen, abandon one of the seventh and ninth, and if the non-returner who has transcended form becomes fallen, then they abandon the seventh and eighth, and if they fall from the formless attachment, then they abandon the eighth, and if they fall from desire, then they abandon the seventh. At the time of the sixteenth moment of the preliminary non-returner without attachment, they abandon the first five, and gradually, at the time of obtaining the non-returner, they abandon the first six. It is established that there is a remainder because it is forbidden to say that obtaining is not five. The non-returner abandons five and six and obtains the seventh, and the Arhat abandons two and obtains only the ninth that was not there before. If the Arhat without form falls, then they obtain the seventh and eighth, and if anyone who desires falls, then they obtain the first six. The sixteenth of the preliminary once-returner without attachment is abandoned and stabilized by the two paths, so five are not obtained, and even if they fall, they do not lose what has been abandoned by seeing, so only six are obtained. The fifth place is shown from the sun that clearly illuminates the meaning of the commentary on the Treasury of Abhidharma. Sixth, there are three ways to show the path and the person: explaining the path of realizing the truth, explaining the person who realizes the truth, and specifically explaining the qualities of the path itself. The first one has a connection and the actual path. The first one is: In the fifth place, it is said that abandonment is realization, and that, what is to be abandoned, and by what antidote is the meaning of abandonment, is that abandoning afflictions from seeing the truth and meditating on its meaning, is explained in the subtle differences, and that also seeing the truth.
