Because its function is great, it is called great. It is explained that it is wider than the above, the volume it relies on is large, and the scope of existence is broad. Second, there are five common functions, and the uncommon ones are that earth can keep the shape of the fruit from falling down, water can gather without dispersing, fire can ripen without rotting, and wind can make it grow from top to top, and these functions can be established. Third, in order, they are hardness, wetness, warmth, and movement. The so-called "itself" is just warmth itself, which is the cause of things. Movement is often generated in other places. Fourth, the scriptures say "earth" and also say "earth element", so what is the difference between them? In worldly terms, yellow and square are called earth, which is from the perspective of color and shape. However, in the treatises, the tactile sensation of hardness is considered the earth element, so the difference is very large. Moreover, water is white and round, fire is red and triangular, etc., and water and fire are also described in terms of color and shape. Wind aggregates are also said to be elements by worldly people, so they are the same, or like earth, blue and round are called wind, which is considered wind from the perspective of color and shape, which is inconsistent with the treatises. Leyton said that it can also be explained as being the same as others, because the eyes cannot see it, so hardness is earth, wetness is water, and warmth is fire. Second, the five faculties and five objects manifested in the nature of the form aggregate, only when these are classified as aggregates, they are considered to be the ten sense bases included in form, and if they are classified as elements, they are considered to be the ten form elements. It is only to prevent the non-knowable. Second, the nature of the three intermediate aggregates. These three, together with other dharmas, are established as the dharma element and sense base. First, feeling is experiencing the difference in meaning by one's own power. If consciousness does not experience others, it will become inanimate, and if it experiences, it will become feeling, if you ask. Because it does not experience by its own power, but experiences by the power of others, it is liberated from both faults. If divided from the perspective of nature, there are three types such as pleasure, and if divided from the perspective of support, there are six types. Conception is the non-common sign of the object, that is, the characteristics of each.

It is the nature of grasping objects. If divided, there are two types: grasping the meaning of things like blue color, and grasping the characteristics of names like "this is a man" and "this is a woman." From the perspective of the basis, there are six. The formation aggregate is a conditioned phenomenon that is a different substance from the other four aggregates. Among them, the first phrase excludes the other four, and the second phrase excludes the unconditioned. If summarized into categories, there are two types: corresponding formations and non-corresponding formations. In detail, there are seventy-three mental events and fourteen non-corresponding formation realities, including homogeneity, and also acknowledging the seven hundred mentioned in the "Sutra of the Ten Places." The sutra says "the six aggregates of mind," which refers to the nature of karma, so it refers to the main ones, and non-corresponding formations are also included in their state, so they are established as formations. If it were not so, then formations that do not correspond to other mental events would not be included in the aggregate, so they would become neither suffering nor origin, and therefore would become neither knowable nor abandonable. This cannot be accepted, because the sutra says "not knowing one dharma" and so on. The second is that the three intermediate aggregates, as well as non-manifest form and the three unconditioned phenomena, these seven dharmas are called the dharma sphere and the dharma realm when establishing the spheres and realms. The third is the nature of the consciousness aggregate. Separated from it, it is established as the mind sphere and the mind realm. The first is that consciousness is merely the nature of individually understanding the meaning of its own power. That is, eye consciousness from form to mind consciousness to dharma. By "own power" and "understanding," mental events and the other three bases are excluded. If divided, there are six aggregates. The second is that when these six consciousnesses are established as spheres, the mind sphere is also that. Moreover, when establishing realms, it is also believed that there are seven mind realms. What are the seven? They are the six from eye to mind consciousness and the mind realm. The cessation of the six consciousnesses is not explained as a sphere because it is the result, and the sphere is the cause. So, if it is known by "six consciousnesses, each consciousness individually understanding," what is mind? Answer: There is no different entity from the six aggregates, but it refers to any one of the six consciousnesses in relation to that moment.
