It is like being born by nourishing with a little cause without depending on (previous) karma. The second is: When the cause of projecting the higher realm (referring to the form and formless realms) is near, it is like being born by nourishing with the mind of love. As it is said in the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life": "Just generating one clear mind, one can obtain the fruits of Brahma and so on." That is to say, the karma of projecting the higher realm is nourished by the mind of love, and by the power of the samadhi that arises, one is born into the higher realm, but one cannot be born by the mind of love alone, because one cannot be born into the upper realm without abandoning desire in the lower realm (referring to the desire realm). The third case is like the time of the end of the kalpa: When the first dhyana and below are close to being destroyed by fire, sentient beings in the evil realms whose karma has not ended will be born as sentient beings in other world realms; those whose karma has ended will be born as humans in the three continents, that is, in the continuum of any one person in Jambudvipa, by the power of the Dharma nature of the first dhyana samadhi, and as soon as they arise from that samadhi, they will say: "Alas, the joy and happiness arising from solitude is happiness! The joy and happiness arising from solitude is peace!" Because of this statement, samadhi also arises in the continuum of other people in the three continents, and they are born into the first dhyana by relying on cultivation. Similarly, people with unpleasant voices are born as desire gods, and relying on the body of the desire gods, they are born by the power of the Dharma nature of the first dhyana samadhi, and relying on this power, they are also born into the first dhyana. On the body of the first dhyana, they are born by the power of the Dharma nature of the second dhyana samadhi, and relying on this power, they are born into the second dhyana. When the second dhyana and below are close to being destroyed by water, the power of the Dharma nature of the samadhi of the third dhyana and below arises, and so on, should also be known. There is no case of the Dharma nature of the formless samadhi arising, because there is no case of being born into the formless realm due to the destruction of the vessel world, because the fourth dhyana has no destruction of fire, water, and wind. These three kinds of birth are the kinds of birth that do not depend on the cultivation of the approximation samadhi in this life, and the scriptural authority for these is, as it is said in the "Abhidharmakosha": "In the two realms, without form, born from the power of the continuum and karma."

In the form realm, the dhyanas, also by those and the nature of reality. Thus it is said. The fourth is, oneself, with the mastery of absorption, through the power of hearing many scriptures, from knowing the method of attaining absorption, one meditates, for example, this is the tradition of the sharp-faculty Dharma-follower. The fifth is arising from relying on the oral instructions of other teachers, this is the tradition of the dull-faculty faith-follower. Secondly, taking the first dhyana as an example, there are the proximity quiescence and the insight. First, in the Ornament of the Sutras, it says: The mind is focused on the object, do not let its continuity be scattered, quickly realize the scattering, and again apply mindfulness to it. The wise one, from higher to higher, gathers the mind inward. Then, in order to see the qualities, subdue the mind in samadhi. In order to see the faults of scattering, be displeased with it and pacify it. Greed and displeasure, etc., arising are also pacified in the same way. Then, the one who strives in discipline, the mind is with manifest effort, attains arising from its own nature, and does not make effort because of habituation. Then his body and mind, having attained great pliancy, are called being with attention. By him increasing it, by increasing it for a long time, one attains the actual abiding. As it is said, after meditating on the nine mental abidings, when one obtains the bliss of physical and mental pliancy at the stage of the ninth abiding, then the proximity quiescence included in the first dhyana is born. At that time, it is associated with the eleven mental activities (བཾཅུ་གཅིགཾ་,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:), and by those gradually increasing, one obtains the actual abiding. Such a proximity quiescence, when relying on the wisdom that directly realizes selflessness, is called the proximity invincible, because it can eliminate all the afflictions of one's own ground, the upper ground, and the lower ground. Therefore, the proximity that is the basis of the uncontaminated path of those who have entered the stream, the once-returner, and the gradually non-returner is also the same, and not the extremely clear characteristic attention, etc., because those are of the nature of tranquility and roughness, having the nature of tranquility and roughness.
