Just as one observes one after another and then burns a greasy tree. Secondly, there are eight actual meanings of signs: profound birth, and likewise cessation, and suchness, knowable, knower, behavior, non-duality, and profound skillful means. These also have two types of subsequent bodily and verbal behavior, and the realization of meditative equipoise. Ninth, the union of samsara and nirvana equality has two aspects: definition and refutation of objections. The first is the bodhisattva yogi who realizes the equality of samsara and nirvana through gaining control over non-conceptual wisdom. The boundary is in the three pure lands. Secondly, in both the root text and commentary, it is directly shown that refuting the objection that it leads to inactivity, etc., indicated by the word "etc.", refuting the objection that it leads to uncertain answers, refuting the objection that it contradicts the scriptures, and refuting the objection that it is too extreme, there are four types. Tenth, the definition of the union of pure lands. The yogi of the pure land who purifies the impure vessel and essence realms in order to make all vessels and essences appear as pure and infinite in one's own appearance. If classified, there are two types: the union of purifying the sentient realm and the union of purifying the vessel realm. The definition of the first is the yogi of the pure land who purifies the impure sentient realm in order to make all sentient realms of one's own appearance appear as pure and infinite. The latter is also similar. The boundary is the same as the former. Eleventh, the definition of the union of skillful means. The yogi of the pure land who knows the time and non-time of manifesting the ten meanings of the Prajnaparamita, and does not manifest them if the time has not come, and manifests them if the time has come. If classified, there are ten types: transcending obstructive dharmas, abiding in non-abiding, propelled by past aspirations for the benefit of others, uncommon, non-attachment, non-objectification, without characteristics, without aspirations, signs of non-retrogression, and immeasurable skillful means. The definition of the first is the yogi of the pure land who knows the time and non-time of manifesting the Prajnaparamita that transcends obstructive dharmas, and does not manifest it if the time has not come, and manifests it if the time has come. The latter is also similar. The boundary is the same as the former. Means

In the chapter of the first wise one, the nature of the four maras—the Mara of the Sons of Gods, the Mara of Afflictions, the Mara of Aggregates, and the Mara of Death—are, in order: belonging to the category of desire gods who obstruct the virtue that transcends the other three maras; afflictions that do not completely pacify the mind; the aggregates of form gathered by the continuum of sentient beings; and the actions that involuntarily cut off life. In terms of the boundaries of subjugation, from the perspective of the Lesser Vehicle, the Mara of the Sons of Gods is subjugated on the path of seeing; the Mara of Afflictions is subjugated after attaining Nirvana with Remainder; the Mara of Aggregates is subjugated after attaining Nirvana without Remainder; and the Mara of Death is subjugated after attaining the ultimate of the Fourth Dhyana. From the perspective of the Great Vehicle, the Mara of the Sons of Gods is subjugated on the path of accumulation; the Mara of Afflictions and the Mara of Death are subjugated from the first bhumi onwards; and the Mara of Aggregates is subjugated from the eighth bhumi onwards. The branches of the fourth chapter are explained in detail in "The Clear Elucidation of Hidden Meanings." Fifth, the Peak Practice has two aspects: nature and division. The first is: the yoga of a Bodhisattva who has perfected the collected meditation of the three wisdoms. Divided in terms of essence, there are three: the path of accumulation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the peak practice. Divided in terms of the signifying dharma, there are eight: the practice of signs, the practice of increase, the practice of stability, the practice of one-pointedness of mind, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, the uninterrupted peak practice, and the wrong practices to be abandoned. The nature of the first: the yoga of a Bodhisattva who has attained any of the twelve signs of the peak practice. The boundary exists from the heat stage of the Great Vehicle to the ultimate limit of the ten bhumis. This can be inferred for the others. The nature of the peak practice of the heat stage: the yoga of a Bodhisattva who has become the essence of the heat stage, the collected meditation that has become excellent. The nature of the second: the yoga of a Bodhisattva who has attained any of the sixteen aspects of the increase of merit of the peak practice. The boundary exists from the peak of the path of accumulation of the Great Vehicle to the ultimate limit of the ten bhumis. The nature of the third: the yoga of a Bodhisattva who has attained the stability of the two meanings of the peak practice. The boundary exists from the patience stage of the Great Vehicle to the ultimate limit of the continuum. The nature of the fourth: the yoga of a Bodhisattva who has attained the samadhi of the peak practice, symbolized and shown by many merits. The boundary is the dharma of the Great Vehicle.
