As it is, and from the point of "incompatible aspects of experiential conduct," it is because it is the directly shown Ālayavijñāna. If accepted, then it is not experienced by others, and it becomes any of the eight consciousnesses directly shown. Because of accepting that. If accepted, then it contradicts the Ālayavijñāna of the Hīnayāna. Examine it well. Secondly, in grasping the essential meaning, there is the Ālayavijñāna that purifies the path wisdom of the second ground, and the Ālayavijñāna that becomes the type of realization of the Hīnayāna in this context, and in order to gather the objects of hearing and thinking, reversing the order and concluding the three wisdoms, there are three. The first is "This shore, the other shore, not at the edge," etc., seven verses. Regarding this, there are two aspects: the actual connection of the text and the examination of the difficult points that arise in the context. The first is that there is a reason for explaining the Ālayavijñāna under the path wisdom. During the path wisdom, the accumulation of merit obtained after meditation and the accumulation of wisdom of meditative equipoise are what accomplish the omniscient wisdom shown in the first instance. In the means of accomplishing omniscient wisdom, the difference between near and far is realized in the third instance through the gate of being skilled and unskilled. How is it realized? At the time of "measuring and what is to be measured are equal," it is shown that the Mahāyāna's meditation path, the consciousness of meditative equipoise with the aspect of the three realms of the nine abidings of the mind, and what is to be known are realized as equality. So, is it determined only by that realization? That is the realization of not abiding in existence with great wisdom, and on top of that, not abiding in peace with great compassion, and the wisdom that does not abide even between the two, in this third instance, it is intended to be the Perfection of Wisdom gathered by the Ālayavijñāna. That is what is shown by the first two and fourth lines of "This shore, the other shore, not at the edge," etc. Why does it not abide in the three realms of Saṃsāra and Nirvāṇa? It is said that "all times are equal," and in appearance, after connecting "why are those not visible?" it is said that the dharmas of the three times are all equal. That is what is said by the reason. That is why it is said. In short, this verse shows the Ālayavijñāna gathered by the meditative equipoise in the mindstream of a Bodhisattva.

Thus, the simultaneous practice of view and meditation of a Bodhisattva, in the second instance, is shown as the path wisdom from the reversal of realizing the unborn path. From the reversal of not abiding in the three realms (samsara, nirvana, and bardo), in the third instance, it is merely shown as the base wisdom, and it is not different in essence from the former. Such a state of simultaneous practice of prajna, if in the post-meditation period, one practices generosity etc. with attachment to signs, then one is not skilled in the means of accomplishing omniscience, and therefore is far from omniscience. If one practices generosity etc. without attachment to signs, then one is skilled in the means of accomplishing omniscience, and therefore is close to omniscience. This is shown by one verse, "That is through the door of attachment to signs," etc. Therefore, based on the nearness and distance taught in the scriptures, where should we place nearness and distance? With what practice should we place nearness and distance? With what cause should we place nearness and distance? And the reason why it can place nearness and distance, there are four points. First, it is necessary to place nearness and distance in relation to the omniscience taught in the first instance, because here omniscience is the object to be attained, and path wisdom is the means to attain it, and it is the time to calculate nearness and distance as its branch. Second, it is necessary to place nearness and distance in relation to the path wisdom taught in the second instance, for the same reason as before. However, the terminology must be the terminology of base wisdom, because the path wisdom of the second instance, from the reversal of not abiding in the three realms, is here being explained as the base wisdom. Third, in the post-meditation period, when practicing generosity etc., it is necessary to place it through the door of non-attachment to signs and attachment to signs. If there is no attachment to signs, it becomes a special practice of the post-meditation period, and if there is attachment to signs, then attachment to signs is an obstacle, and it is the time when the practice of the post-meditation period is interrupted. Fourth, why is there a difference between nearness and distance through the door of attachment and non-attachment to signs? Because the mind that is attached to signs, as the Ratnagotravibhāga says, "Whatever is the conceptualization of the three circles, that is considered to be the obscuration of knowledge." Thus, it is the obscuration of knowledge that has become the opposite of the Bodhisattva path. The mind that does not attach to signs, because it directly contradicts that way of grasping, is therefore the antidote, the kind of realization of a Bodhisattva.
