Regarding the two ways of stating that the six perfections of generosity are in accordance with the Dharma, and that the six objects of generosity are in accordance with the Dharma, the latter is more reasonable. Because here, the six armors of the agent of collection are established as the means of accomplishment, and when each of them is divided into six, it becomes thirty-six, which is the meaning of the present context. The certainty of these numbers and the certainty of the order should be understood as in the case of the six perfections. Third, according to the noble ones, the meaning of distributing armor is to be pervaded by the thought of entering the practice of the six perfections, just as in the world, distributing armor and so on for the purpose of entering battle is called distributing armor. According to the masters, the practice of the six perfections to be meditated upon is distributed with the thought of the three spheres of meditation being non-objective, that is, in the commentary, it is said that in order, the function of the knowable itself, which is non-objective with respect to what should be given, and so on. The second is, meditation, formless, generosity, etc., and so on. This has three aspects: its own nature, object, and order. The first is the object of entry, for the Great Vehicle, after surpassing the path of accumulation, entering and ascending with the diligence of application, in short, how much does the venerable one become a great Bodhisattva entering the Great Vehicle, and ascending the Great Vehicle. Entering and ascending are the same meaning, in the Ornament of Clear Realization, it is also because of the same meaning that entering is ascending and ascending is entering. The second is the Great Vehicle, which has two types: the Great Vehicle of cause and the Great Vehicle of effect. The first is from meditation, formless, to the purity of the three spheres. The second is the latter three, such as intentional action. It can also be summarized into three parts, namely, for one's own benefit, for the benefit of others, and for the benefit of both. The first is the three, such as meditation and formlessness. The second is the three, such as love. The third is the three, such as intentional action. Third, the order is, first, in order to stabilize the mind, the four meditations and the formless realms held by non-objective wisdom.

Entering into the four samapattis. By meditating on these, after gaining a stable and workable mind, one enters into the six perfections such as generosity, as it is necessary to accumulate the two accumulations. By the power of accumulating the two accumulations, the paths of seeing and meditation arise, therefore one enters into the path. Here, the teacher repeatedly speaks of the path of the non-learner and the differentiated path, which is in terms of the pure ground. After accomplishing one's own benefit with these three, then one enters into the four immeasurables below that, as the cause for the benefit of others. After that, again, since one cannot benefit others with attachment to the self of person and phenomena, one enters into the wisdom without attachment to the self of person and phenomena. Even without attachment to the self of person and phenomena, if one does not abandon the mind that discriminates in the three spheres, one cannot benefit others, therefore after that one enters into non-apprehension of the three spheres. One who possesses the conduct of purity of the three spheres needs to accomplish three tasks for the sake of one's own benefit, therefore after that one enters into the tasks to be accomplished. This is in terms of the temporary tasks to be accomplished. After that, one enters into the six abhijñas, the cause of omniscience. By the accumulation of the causes of omniscience, omniscience will be attained, therefore after that one enters into the all-knowingness itself. Third, accomplishing the accumulations: Love and the six, such as generosity. And so on, here there are two aspects: a general presentation of the seventeen accumulations, and a specific explanation of what is difficult to understand. In the first, there are two aspects: the order of accomplishment, and the way of becoming an accumulation. The first, it is said: The accomplishment of the accumulations, The order should be known. As it is said, if one wonders what the order is? First, manifesting the love that desires to be separated from suffering, then one enters successively into the six perfections such as generosity for the benefit of others. After that, having entered into single-pointed shamatha for the benefit of others, one generates vipassana that realizes emptiness. Since one cannot attain Buddhahood by merely realizing emptiness, after that one trains in the path of the union of wisdom and compassion. By training in the two, one will obtain whatever is skilled in the means of benefiting others. From that, the wisdom that realizes emptiness arises, and from wisdom arises the samadhi that possesses the fruit of merit. By familiarizing oneself with the two accumulations, one enters into the path for the sake of realizing suchness, and attains the path.
