The praise has been explained. Secondly, the necessity and connection of entering the expressive treatise are: "The path of all aspects of knowledge." etc., two verses. Regarding this, apart from Asanga (འཕགས་གྲོལ་) connecting the necessity of composing the treatise, the clear indication of connecting all four aspects of necessity etc. is not obvious. The teacher considers that the first two lines express the subject matter, the middle four express the intrinsic necessity, the last two express the purpose, and the connection is implied. However, if we follow the combination of words, then the first three express the subject matter, then three express the intrinsic necessity, and the last two express the purpose. When Lord Maitreya paid homage to the Mother by praising the qualities of the three wisdoms, and vowed to compose the Ornament of the Three Wisdoms, what is its subject matter? The three wisdoms of the Buddha's realm, summarized by the latter two explanations of praise, are made the fruit to be attained, and the path to attain it, the three unborn wisdoms of the Bodhisattva's continuum, summarized by the first explanation of praise, which transform into eight realizations through the condition of beings, that is the subject matter here. This is indicated by "The path of all aspects of knowledge." Then, is it explained by relying on one's own power without relying on the Buddha's words? "What does the Teacher explain from this?" means that what the Teacher said from the Prajnaparamita Sutra is to be explained here, and not separately from that. Then, are all the paths of the three vehicles explained in the Prajnaparamita Sutra explained here? "Not experienced by others," means that although the Prajnaparamita Sutra speaks of all the paths of the three vehicles, here it will explain what is not experienced by other vehicles, but only to be experienced by Bodhisattvas. If we consider the types of realization, then the types of realization of all three vehicles are actually shown, because those that only Bodhisattvas can experience possess all the types of realization of the three vehicles. The path of the Hinayana Svātantrika is not directly shown in this treatise, because "not experienced by others," and below, when explaining each of the categories of the Mahayana path, the Hinayana.

Because it has been said that these paths are shown implicitly. Therefore, the two noble lions (འཕགས་སེང་) said that this treatise summarizes the realization of all four noble ones, and in the root verse it is also said, "Which is the path of the solitary rhinoceros disciple?" Although these are the direct realization of the self-nature Bodhicitta, they are considered to be the types of realization of the four noble ones. It is not contradictory that there is no Hinayana path in the direct teaching, and it must be understood that the key points are the same. Second, the need is: starting from the sentence "What did the teacher say from this?" If the teacher has already said it, then there is no need to write a treatise. If you think so, then the answer to this is the last two verses. If a treatise is not written, then ordinary people will not be able to easily understand the meaning of the sutras, so the treatise is written in order to let them understand that meaning, that is the meaning. Third, the ultimate need is: Then, what is the need for ordinary people to easily understand the meaning of the sutras? The answer to this is the three verses such as "The nature of the ten practices." Because ordinary people easily understand the meaning of the sutras, the meaning of the sutras with the nature of the ten practices is placed in the wisdom of mindfulness, and in the stage of the accumulation path and the application path, relying on the power cultivated in countless kalpas, the ten practices appear in the first bhumi, which is the ultimate need of the treatise, that is the meaning. Regarding this, there are three situations: the nature of the ten practices, how it summarizes the meaning of the sutras, and the ultimate need of the treatise is established from the first bhumi. The first is: Indian and Tibetan scholars, regarding the ten practices mentioned here, some think that writing, offering, giving, etc. are mentioned from the middle to the end, some think that they are the ten dharmas that symbolize omniscience, and some think that they are the ten perfections. Although there are these three views, the view of the root commentary of the treatise is the latter, and the translators and disciples also think so. That is to say, the meaning of the sutras with the nature of the ten practices, because it says "the meaning of the sutras," it is said that all the meaning of the sutras is summarized by the ten practices, and it is also said in the commentary, so that path of the all-knowing wisdom (རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་ཉིད་ལམ་) and the ten practices mentioned here have the same meaning, because it is said in the Great Commentary (འགྲེལ་ཆེན་): Bodhicitta and
