Venerable one, [I] posit: [It] is a practice that fears great benefit for others, because it is a practice that can give rise to fear of it. [You] cannot accept, because it is a dharma. The root reason is established, because such a Bodhisattva might enter the Lesser Vehicle's path out of fear of great benefit for others. Secondly, some say, if it is a Mahayana practice, it must be any one of the fifteen temporary practices, and the lowest limit of the practice of obtaining prophecy is from the heat of the Mahayana path of practice, is it? If it is a practice in the continuum of a Mahayana accumulation path practitioner, then it must be a difficult, long-lasting, and difficult-to-realize practice, because of that commitment. If [you] accept, then the practice of a Bodhisattva on the accumulation path who is dull-witted, the dharma, is so. Because of that reason. If [you] accept, then that dharma, is so. [It] is a practice that can give rise to fear of the Perfection of Wisdom, because of that acceptance. Furthermore, it is unreasonable that the dull-witted Mahayana accumulation path practitioner easily attains unsurpassed Bodhi without being interrupted by other vehicles, and that the difference that the dull-witted one finds it difficult to attain, because there is no difference in whether the path of practice in the continuums of those two is a difficult, long-lasting, and difficult-to-realize practice. Again, some say that the practice of obtaining prophecy, the practice of non-retrogression, the practice of definite arising, and the practice of non-interruption are sequentially placed on the four Mahayana paths of practice. Is it certain that the practice close to Bodhi is placed on the first ground, and the practice of quickly attaining Bodhi is placed on the second to seventh grounds? Or is it the lowest limit? According to the first statement, there is no practice of obtaining prophecy in the continuum of a noble Bodhisattva, because it is certain that it is only heat. If [you] accept, then there is no realization of not fearing the Perfection of Wisdom in that continuum, because of that acceptance. According to the second statement, there is a practice close to Bodhi in the continuum of a second-ground Bodhisattva, because placing that limit on the first ground is the lowest limit. If [you] accept, then there is a realization of newly arising uncontaminated dharmas in such a continuum. If [you] say so, then on the latter pervasion of the first statement, there is no peak practice of completely increasing merit in one's own continuum in the continuum of a noble Bodhisattva, because there is a peak practice in his continuum.

Because there is no regression. In the continuum of a Bodhisattva on the accumulation path with dull faculties, there is no realization of not fearing the Prajnaparamita, because there is no practice of obtaining prophecy in his continuum. Both pervasions are accepted. If asserted, then it should exist, because there is a realization in his continuum of the meaning of the absence of inherent existence of phenomena. On the latter pervasion of the second inference, there is no realization of newly arising uncontaminated Dharma in the continuum of a Hearer on the path of seeing, because there is no practice close to enlightenment in his continuum. It cannot be asserted, because there is newly arising uncontaminated Dharma in his continuum. In the context of "Subduing the Power of Demons," regarding the definition of the qualities of the Mahayana practice, there are three aspects: refutation, establishment, and abandonment. In the first aspect, some say: the Mahayana practice is the virtue obtained through the power of meditation. If so, then omniscience (Dharma) is the subject, it should be so, because of that reason. If asserted, then it should not be, because it does not possess the Mahayana practice. Furthermore, the Mahayana path of seeing should be a quality of the Mahayana path of joining, because it is asserted as such in the root text. If asserted, then it should be a quality of the Mahayana path of joining practitioner, because it is asserted as such. If asserted, then it should be a quality of a Mahayana ordinary being, because it is asserted as such. The second is: the Mahayana practice is the virtue obtained through the power of meditation in the stage of the Mahayana practice. The third is: some say that all complete uncontaminated Dharmas are the subject, it should possess the Mahayana practice, because it is its quality. If asserted, then it should not possess it, because if it is a Mahayana practice, then it must be something incomplete. And, definitely obtaining the result, the Prajnaparamita, is the subject, it should possess the Mahayana practice, because it is its quality. It cannot be asserted, because if it is a Mahayana practice, then it must be something that does not possess the result, the Prajnaparamita. If it is said like that, then, in the first case, the complete destruction of latent predispositions, that should possess the Mahayana path of joining practitioner with dull faculties, because that is the sign of establishing non-regression from the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment temporarily. The pervasion is accepted. If asserted, then it should not possess that, because if it is that, then it is pervaded by not having obtained it. In the latter case, definitely obtaining the result, the Prajnaparamita, that should possess that, because he definitely obtains that.
