. The first is, according to the Great Commentary: Some say that the first conceptualization of the apprehended aspect is only the ālaya-vijñāna, and the second is based only on the purified. This is the difference between these two conceptualizations of the apprehended aspect. Having done so, what is to be said is: For the time being, whatever is the first conceptualization of the apprehended aspect is also the second, for example, the conceptualization of the apprehended aspect that is only the ālaya-vijñāna. What becomes the second but is not the first is, for example, the second conceptualization of the apprehended aspect that is based only on the purified. Others say: The one that relies on the basis of all afflictions is the first, and the one that relies on the basis of the purified is the second, because this is only mutually exclusive. This is only different. Of these two systems, the first is a presentation of the views of the Noble Liberation, and the latter is the teacher's own view. Where do these two actually abide? Some who do not settle their minds say: If the Noble One's intention is that the apprehended conceptualization is the first, then it pervades all defilement and purification, and if the apprehended conceptualization is the second, then it pervades only purification. Moreover, if the apprehended conceptualization is the first, then it pervades the apprehended conceptualization is the second, and if it is the second, then it pervades that it is the first. After thinking in this way, the first apprehended conceptualization that focuses on all defilement and purification, the subject, becomes focused on all defilement and purification, because it is the first apprehended conceptualization. If you accept, then it is unreasonable, because it is the second apprehended conceptualization. Three rounds. If it is not established, then it is because it is the first apprehended conceptualization. Again, three rounds. Even if one is a noble being, one can still say that one accepts because one has not abandoned the obscuration of knowledge. Then, the scripture "By the basis and its antidote" states that if it is a conceptualization of all afflictions, then it pervades focusing on all nine objects such as ignorance, and if it is a conceptualization of the purified, then it pervades focusing on all nine objects such as the aggregates. This is shown because the noble system shows it as you, the madman, wish. If you accept, then the conceptualization of all afflictions that focuses only on ignorance, the subject, becomes that, because of that reason. Although you pretend to be wise, you accept because you plant something else in your heart. Therefore, the Noble One's intention is that, in general, the first apprehended conceptualization

Moreover, the object of the second antidote is also, the second antidote does not focus on the object of the first antidote, this is its meaning. And some say that it is reasonable according to the view of the noble ones, that is, the latter three objects such as object and self, and arising purity, etc., are not the Dharma of afflictions. And some say that it is reasonable according to the view of the teacher, because in the root verse, the implication of "its antidote" is that the base has been shown to be the Dharma of afflictions. So, how can the latter three objects become the Dharma of afflictions? Lo Chen said that the latter three objects are the Dharma of the difference of suffering, so they become the Dharma of afflictions, because they are the object of feeling, the dependent self, and the cause of arising self-nature purity, so any contaminated feeling is suffering. The commentary says that the Dharma of afflictions is mainly, or arising self-nature purity is a kind with defilements, and it becomes a kind of affliction because it has sudden defilements. Regarding the second point, some people say that the constructive discrimination that appears as real is the real grasping, and the mind that focuses on it and clings to it as the grasper is the real grasping discrimination, and the constructive discrimination that appears as imputation is the imputation grasping, and the mind that focuses on it and clings to it as the grasper is the imputation grasping discrimination. If the object of real grasping discrimination is the constructive discrimination that appears as real, then it must be pervasive, and if the object of imputation grasping discrimination is the constructive discrimination that appears as imputation, then it must be pervasive. Because of this proposition. If you admit, the self-existent autonomous one, is the Dharma, is the first. Because of this reason. The path of seeing and the path of meditation, are the Dharma, are the latter. Because of this reason. If you must add discrimination, otherwise the real grasping discrimination and the imputation grasping discrimination must correspond to ordinary people and noble ones respectively. What is the difference between real grasping and real grasping discrimination? Because the treatise "the difference between ordinary people and noble ones" has shown that real grasping and imputation grasping correspond to ordinary people and noble ones respectively. Although it is said so, the ultimate meaning of this treatise will be explained in the fifth chapter.
