It is unreasonable to distinguish between "is" and "is not" because both are equally characterized by the aspect of establishment. Furthermore, some argue that the dharma of the mind that clings to the appearance of emptiness of both the grasped and the grasper should be an establishing conceptualization because it is the conceptualization referred to here. If this is not established, then it would follow that it is not the main object to be abandoned on the bodhisattva path, they say. To this, I strongly agree, because you and the bodhisattva's path of joining have a common basis of meditative equipoise. Thirdly, if the conceptualization referred to here is a conceptualization, then it must be an establishing conceptualization, because in the conceptualization that has the aspect of negating clinging, there are two types: one that clings to the appearance of non-existence in conventional truth, and one that clings to the appearance of non-existence in ultimate truth. The first, such as wrong views, is not the conceptualization referred to here. The second is not the main object to be abandoned on the bodhisattva path. Moreover, this has pervasiveness, if it is the first grasped conceptualization, then it must be a mind that focuses on the object of grasping and clings to the appearance of the grasped that should be abandoned. If it is the second, then it must be a mind that focuses on the object of grasping and clings to the appearance of the grasped that should be adopted. If it is a conceptualization that clings to substance, then it must be a mind that focuses on the object of existing substance and clings to the appearance of being true. If it is a conceptualization that clings to imputation, then it must be a mind that focuses on the object of existing imputation and clings to the appearance of the imputed thing. In the root text, it says, "Conceptualization of the grasped has two aspects," and "The grasper is also considered to have two aspects." Moreover, in its commentary and the two great commentaries, the aspect of clinging is also explained in this way, and the distinction between "is" and "is not" is not made from the perspective of the object. In short, there is no basis for doubt that the first three conceptualizations have the conceptualization of "is not." Although there is such doubt about the conceptualization of clinging to imputation, if analyzed, it is impossible for there to be a conceptualization of "is not." Because, if the superimposition of clinging to truth on that object is not severed, then that object cannot be a conceptualization of clinging to imputation. If the superimposition is severed, then there will be two types: clinging to the selflessness of persons and clinging to the selflessness of phenomena. Among these, the two types that exist in the continuum of ordinary beings are the nature of the path to liberation, therefore they are not to be abandoned. Moreover, these two types of clinging cannot arise in the continuum of noble ones, because when these two types of clinging arise in their continuum, it is only direct realization. Then, the imputed cling

So, how should we understand conceptualization? For example, regarding a vase, first, a thought that has severed the imputation of clinging to reality arises, and now there is no grasping way of thinking about whether it is real or not, but rather a thought that manifests as "this is a vase." This cannot be a conceptualization that grasps at substance, because it lacks the grasping that grasps at reality. If this key point is understood, then in the statement "for conceptualization that grasps at imputation, it manifests as the imputed thing," the power of both imputation and thing are brought into play. Furthermore, the sign-grasping that grasps at the basis, path, and result as signs, as explained from the third aspect, and the thoughts that conceptualize in the three spheres, as explained in the Uttaratantra and the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra, will be understood as the same meaning as this. Therefore, regarding the question of whether śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas have realized the selflessness of phenomena or not, the meaning that Maitreya and Nāgārjuna's views are not contradictory will also be understood. If you want to know, strive to ask Rongtön Chenpo and us! The second view, some say that the bodhisattva's path of joining is the nature of the conceptualization taught here, because it corresponds to the part that clearly distinguishes in the Twenty Thousand Verses, and the first and second are the two conceptualizations of the apprehended aspect in order, and the third and fourth are also the two conceptualizations of the apprehending aspect in order. If you say so, then the bodhisattva's path of joining should not be the conceptualization taught here, because it is not the obscuration of knowledge, which is the main obstacle to be abandoned on the bodhisattva's path. Some say that the four conceptualizations taught here are the nature of the four paths of joining of a bodhisattva. If so, then it should not be the main obstacle to attaining omniscience, and you should not exist in the continuum of ordinary beings who have not entered the path and śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, because you are the nature of the bodhisattva's path of joining. Therefore, according to our own system, the four conceptualizations taught here are to be abandoned on the bodhisattva's path of joining, because the four manifest ones can be abandoned by the bodhisattva's path of joining itself, and the four seeds can be abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of meditation brought about by that path of joining. Because in the commentary on the Twenty Thousand Verses and the Holy Intent, the ācāryas have said that they are to be abandoned. In my opinion, the direct teaching of the sūtras is
