Since it is to attain stability, thereby settling the sequential practice directly into the yoga of an instant, then it is very reasonable to separately establish the thirty dharmas of the three wisdoms, and to summarize them into one hundred and seventy-three aspects. In the context of "purity between generosity and wisdom," there are the definition, classification, and demarcation of the gradual yoga. In the first, some say that the bodhisattva yoga that sequentially cultivates the three wisdoms after summarizing them, and similarly after summarizing the aspects of that yoga, and also say that the bodhisattva yoga of the heat stage, from the second instant onwards, that cultivates in this way. If so, then for the former two, the bodhisattva accumulation path that sequentially cultivates the three wisdoms after summarizing them should be the signified, because it is the definition. If accepted, then there would be the fault of preceding the peak application. In the first, some say that the wisdom of the peak of the Great Vehicle should be the definition, because it is the signified. If accepted, then there would be the fault of summarizing the three wisdoms. If accepted, then there would be the fault of summarizing the eight realizations. The fault of saying this has also been pointed out. In the third, the bodhisattva yoga of sequentially cultivating the aspects of the three wisdoms in the continuum of a bodhisattva accumulation path practitioner, preceded by the realization of a Hearer Arhat, should be the signified, because it is the definition, i.e., one who cultivates in this way is a bodhisattva yoga above the heat stage, i.e., because it precedes the heat stage. Some say that the definition of the gradual yoga of the perfection of generosity is the gradual yoga of sequentially cultivating the perfection of generosity, and so on for the others. Then, if the dharma that is sequentially cultivated by the gradual yoga of the perfection of generosity is the perfection of generosity, then it should necessarily be the fault of being the perfection of generosity, because that is the definition. If accepted, then the one hundred and seventy-three aspects should be that dharma, because it is the reason, i.e., the dharma that is sequentially cultivated by the gradual yoga is that dharma. The second is the bodhisattva yoga of sequentially cultivating the aspects of the three wisdoms in order to attain the stability that arises from the self-cause peak application. The second is the classification, from the gradual yoga of the perfection of generosity to the gradual yoga of realizing the essence of non-inherent existence.
