The three wisdoms of the eighth bhumi are not expressed by the names of application, seeing, and meditation. This treatise only explains the necessity of expounding the three paths, and does not state any reason for the establishment or any reason that harms the reality. Moreover, the teacher also said in the Compendium Explanation: "In order to understand the difference of the eighth immovable bhumi, all aspects are completely manifested." Because of this statement. The second way of explaining is: Some people near Lhasa (Lhasa) say that there is no fault of repetition in expounding application, seeing, and meditation six times in the first six stages, because the three paths are expounded three times in the first three stages from the perspective of determining what is to be known. In the first three stages of application, it is expounded from the perspective of practicing application. Among them, all aspects have only all aspects and two kinds of differences. Similarly, the peak application and the gradual application are also divided into two. Similarly, each of the three names of application path, seeing path, and meditation path, which are expounded from the first three stages of application, also has only two kinds of differences. Only is the reality of the application path and so on, and the difference is the wisdom of the pure land. So, what is the reason why the wisdom of the pure land is expressed by the three names of application, seeing, and meditation? The reason for the establishment is that it is in accordance with the three paths and the gradual arising in the nature of Dharma. The necessity of naming is to dispel the doubt that the small, medium, and large wisdoms will arise simultaneously in the pure land due to the cessation of effort. What harms the reality is that the application, seeing, and meditation with the characteristics of effort are not reality, because they are the wisdom of the pure land. Therefore, this treatise is the teacher's own school, and although this treatise indirectly expounds the establishment of the three paths, in the teacher's school, there is no contradiction that the application, seeing, and meditation expounded from the first three stages of application are self-characterized. The third way of explaining is: Some people between Ganden Monastery and Drepung Monastery say that these treatises of the teacher are not written for the purpose of specifically elaborating the establishment of the three paths. The six expounding of the three paths in the first six stages is arranged to avoid the fault of repetition.

It is not either, this is established in order to dispel the doubt of only speaking of direct realization. Then, what is the doubt of only speaking of direct realization? And how should it be prevented? Firstly, these eight direct realizations that are the subject of the Ornament, are cultivated sequentially from the path of accumulation to the Buddha-ground, therefore, all direct realizations that symbolize omniscience are only in the path of accumulation and the path of joining, all direct realizations that symbolize the knowledge of the path are only between the first and sixth bhumis, all direct realizations that symbolize the base knowledge are only in the seventh bhumi, all those that symbolize the complete order are only in the eighth bhumi, all those of the peak joining are only in the upper half of the ninth and tenth bhumis, all those of the gradual joining are only in the lower half of the tenth bhumi, and all those of the momentary non-joining are cultivated only at the end of the continuum. Those direct realizations of the resultant Dharmakaya occur in the Buddha-ground. Secondly, the way to prevent such doubts is: in the context of omniscience, it is necessary to mention the three, joining path, seeing path, and cultivation path, by their own names, because it is to dispel the doubt that all direct realizations symbolizing omniscience arise suddenly only in the path of accumulation and the path of joining? It can be dispelled in this way, because in the context of symbolizing omniscience, in all ways, those that are included in the path that surpasses the path of hearers and solitary realizers, whose nature is wisdom, without the impurities of desire, etc., the small one is the joining path, the middle one is the seeing path, and the large one is the cultivation path, these three arise sequentially. By this analogy, the base knowledge and the path knowledge are also explained. In the context of the complete order, it is necessary to mention the three paths by their own names, because it is to dispel the doubt that the direct realizations symbolizing the complete order all arise suddenly in the eighth bhumi? It can be dispelled in this way, because in the context of symbolizing it, in all ways, those that are included in the path that surpasses the path of hearers and solitary realizers, etc., combine as before. By this analogy, the two, peak joining and gradual joining, are also explained. Therefore, the special path mentioned here does not refer to the wisdom of the pure land, but to the path of hearers and solitary realizers.
