Among the three of refutation, establishment, and elimination, the first is: Some say that these two are contradictory. If it is a characteristic, then it must be what is expressed. If it is what is expressed, then it must be what is to be expressed. The first point is because it is said, "What is expressed by what is the characteristic, is called knowable." The latter point is because it is said, "By accomplishing the action, these are what is to be expressed." Furthermore, the nature of reality is the characteristic that is indicated here, because these two are not contradictory. If you assert, then the Mahayana practice is the characteristic of the Mahayana practice, because of that assertion. It is pervasive because the nature of reality is the nature of the Mahayana practice itself that is to be expressed. Furthermore, the nature of reality, the subject, is not a characteristic, because it is a dharma that must be expressed by another characteristic. So they say. Regarding the first two pervasions of the statement, if the characteristic is made from the perspective of accomplishing the action, then it must be a characteristic, because it is said, "By accomplishing the action, these are what is to be expressed, which is the characteristic of the nature of reality." In the second case, the Mahayana practice is what is expressed by the Mahayana practice, because the nature of reality is what is expressed in this context. The pervasion is accepted. In the third case, the three wisdoms, the subject, are that, because of that. If you assert, then the complete practice is not a practice, because of that assertion. It is pervasive because it is said, "The practice of that characteristic." The second is: If it is the characteristic of the Mahayana practice indicated here, then it and the Mahayana practice are both capable of cutting off the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility, so it is non-pervasive, because in general, the sound of characteristic applies to both the accomplishing action and the performing action. If it is from the perspective of accomplishing the action, then what is expressed is also a characteristic, because it says, "Whatever the nature of reality is also what is expressed," and "It is considered the fourth characteristic." When arranging the expression, it is necessary to be able to cut off the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility for the two, the characteristic and what is expressed, because at that time, it is necessary to be able to express the uncommon what is expressed on the basis of the characteristic. Among the three bases of its characteristic and what is expressed, the two that become the characteristic and what is expressed are contradictory, because if the characteristic of its situation is that, then it must be the accomplishing action.

Because if it is the signified of that occasion, it must be karmic. In general, name and signified are not contradictory, but the signifier and signified are contradictory, because the agent and the object are contradictory. Thirdly, some argue that the definition and the signified are contradictory, because the agent and the object are contradictory. If you say to establish pervasion, it is not the same, because if it is the signifier, it must be the agent, and if it is the definition, it is not pervaded because it is the agent, because the essence of self-nature is the definition, because it is said that the definition should be understood in four ways. To this, someone says, even if it is the signifier, it does not necessarily have to be the agent, because the essence of self-nature is the signifier, because if so, the sixteen essences of self-nature truly signify the union of the three omniscient ones, so it is said. This is not pervasive, because the occurrence of the agent word "sixteen essences of self-nature" is not correct, because the old translation says, if so, the nature of the sixteen essences of self-nature is true, and also in the root text, it says, the sixteen essences of self-nature, like the signified, signify, so the agent word is not said. Also, the three characteristics of knowledge, difference, and action are accepted as the definition of Mahayana yoga, and the realization that the base-knowledge yoga relies on the mother tantra to generate that dharma, and the realization of this realization is accepted as the knowledge characteristic of the base-knowledge yoga. To this, some argue that the action characteristic of Mahayana yoga, the dharma, is the knowledge characteristic of Mahayana yoga, because it is the yoga of Mahayana. The pervasion is real. The yoga of base-knowledge yoga realizing that the world is indestructible is also a dharma, it is the realization that the base-knowledge yoga relies on the mother tantra to generate that dharma, because it is the knowledge of base-knowledge yoga. If you say that the pervasion is real, it is because you do not understand the way to establish the meaning of knowledge characteristic on the basis of synonyms for understanding self-nature. Is the vase self-characteristic or not? If not, then it is too much, and if it is, the pillar is a dharma, it is a vase, because it is self-characteristic. According to your own statement, the pervasion is real. Someone says, I accept the vase as self-characteristic, but I do not accept it as its own self-nature. Then, I accept that as the knowledge characteristic of base-knowledge yoga, that
