There are two kinds of disagreements in statements. Among them, Le Dun said that it should also be explained that there are things that are in accordance with the scriptures, because (the scriptures) show that what the eye cannot see, hardness is earth, wetness is water, and warmth is fire. This is explained, but this is a non-existent phenomenon. In short, in the scriptures, dividing into two, based on intellectual analysis and based on unanalyzed worldly language, seems crucial when explaining the tenets of realists. In the section "Separate Consciousnesses," there are five points regarding the definition of consciousness, the determination of number, the place of origin and placement in the realm, and the definition of the mind realm incidentally, and proving it as another realm. The first point is that the nature of objects is recognized separately, that is, from the eye consciousness recognizing form to the mind consciousness recognizing the nature of dharma. The second point is that Bodhisattva Delight and the Naga tribe, etc., the sutra says, "Whoever is bodiless and dwells in a cave, walks far and alone, tames the mind that is difficult to tame, I call him a Brahmin." Therefore, consciousness is one entity, and saying it is six is like a monkey in a nine-holed house, or like wealth arising from different doors. Transformed wisdom says in the "Golden Light Sutra," "Wisdom is one, that is, non-discriminating wisdom." Therefore, it is one. Because it is uncontaminated, the seeds of abandonment to be cultivated that will be established in the future are considered by the Vaibhashikas to depend on the life force. The Mind-Only scholars think this is unreasonable, because the eight consciousnesses arise separately because they arise from different causes and conditions such as self-cause and object-cause. If it is one entity, then all consciousnesses will arise simultaneously, so all objects will be cognized simultaneously. The Mind-Only master Truly Free believes that there is a stainless consciousness above the eight consciousnesses, making nine in total, because the sutra says, "The Tathagatagarbha pervades all beings, relying on the stainless mind." So they think. Here, the Sūtra School's own system believes that since it arises from different aggregates of causes and conditions, it is not considered the same entity. If the stainless mind manifests, one will become a noble one,

Since neither the skandha nor the afflicted mind can be established by reasoning, they are determined to be the six consciousnesses. Third, when it is established as an āyatana, it is the mind āyatana. The cessation of the six consciousnesses is not spoken of as an āyatana because it is the result, and the āyatana is the cause. Then, all parts of establishing the six consciousnesses as āyatanas must be established as sense-base āyatanas, and since it does not go beyond the mind sense-base, the determination of twelve āyatanas is also established. When it is separately established as a dhātu, there are seven dhātus, because the dhātu has both sense-base dhātu and result consciousness dhātu, so the six consciousnesses can be established as dhātus after self-cessation. Fourth, if the six consciousnesses are established as the six result consciousness dhātus, then what is the definition of the mind dhātu? It is any consciousness that, immediately after its own cessation, produces the self-result mind consciousness. Then, what is the difference between it and the result consciousness dhātu? That is, these six consciousnesses now, from the point of view of being born from the self-cause and the object-cause, are the result consciousness dhātu, and from the point of view of producing the mind consciousness, they are the mind dhātu, and are established as the mind sense-base. As it is said in the commentary: Any consciousness that ceases immediately is called the mind dhātu, just as the son himself becomes the father of others, and he himself is the seed of others. Then, saying that the past of the cessation of consciousness is the mind sense-base, and that the establishment of the mind sense-base must be established when the self-result is produced, etc., are all misunderstandings of the meaning, because the past does not exist in the present object, so it cannot act as a self-cause, and before the self-result is produced, the self-cause itself must be established as the self-cause. In short, the establishment as a sense-base dhātu must be established from the point of view of immediately producing its own self-result after its own cessation. The establishment as a consciousness dhātu must be established from the point of view of being produced immediately from its own three causes. In order to understand this difference, it is necessary to know the meaning of saying "immediately after cessation." Fifth, then, if we say the six consciousnesses and the mind contained by one mind, then it will become twelve dhātus, and if we say consciousness, will it become seventeen dhātus? There is no fault, the five consciousnesses
