The three characteristics of the present effect, self, and non-dependence. In the chapter on self-interest, the reasoning of the power of things is mainly explained, so the key is to explain only these three forms. The latter two are in the chapter on the interest of others, which is explained by "what is accepted by him is the characteristic of the fruit, and what is accepted by the practitioner is the characteristic of self-nature." Regarding the correctness of the trustworthy sign, there are three types of explanations in the scriptures, the views of the wise, and the establishment of reasonable aspects. The first is, in the Commentary on Valid Cognition, it is said: "If sound is connected with things, it will not be born if there is no cause, so it will not be possible to accomplish things from it." And in the Self-Commentary, it is also said: "Thus, inference is not without fault, and sound is not born without things, which is not the case, it has been shown." And in its commentary, Xia Yun: "The knowledge based on the Holy Teaching is not without fault, but has faults. Why? Sound is not born without things, which is not the case, because there is no connection." And the author of the Ornament also said: "The trustworthy words are in accordance with the fruit, and the fame is in accordance with the self-nature. Why is this sign not real? It is said that the self and others have the same understanding." and so on. Yama Ri also said: "How do you think of the three inferences? It should be said like this. The difference of manifestation is not three types, but by the difference of self-nature and fruit, and the images of them." Shengjun also said: "Inference is infinite due to the differences of time and place, etc. Isn't it three types? For the speaker, it should be said like this. Due to the difference of manifestation, it is not really three types. Why? By the difference of fruit and self-nature, and similarity to them." From these discussions, the trustworthy sign does not seem to be a correct reasoning. Also, the author of the Sutra said: "Trustworthy words are not deceiving, and inference is made from the general aspect." And here it is also said: "Trustworthy words are not deceiving, from the general aspect, this is in a hidden place, so there is no chance, the wise say it is inference." And when changing in the third place, the teaching

It is acceptable to a reasonable person. Furthermore, the Pramāṇavārttika states: "For such an object, it is necessary to make the scriptures a valid means of knowledge without deception." Also, the subject that relies on the scriptures, because it is the basis for analysis, will also become the establisher of the scriptures. In addition, in all the root commentaries, it is clearly stated that the scriptures serve as both refutation and establishment, thus it also appears that reliable inference is a valid means of knowledge. Some, on the other hand, argue that there is no reliable reason or inference, because the previously mentioned commentaries and explanations have already established it. The reason is that the scriptures must be related to their own meaning, because they exist. If you accept that, then it necessarily follows that they are related to their own meaning as being of the same essence. Whatever you accept, it is not related to itself as being one and the same. If you accept that, then the relationship between the expressed and the expresser is necessarily not determined by human intention. For this reason. If the pure scriptures are related to it and what arises from it, then the pure scriptures that indicate the future will also become like that. This cannot be accepted, because there is no principle of the result arising before the cause. Furthermore, the scriptures that show that happiness arises from practicing generosity and so on, necessarily become the correct reason for establishing that happiness arises from practicing generosity and so on, because of this commitment. If you accept that, then the statement "sound is impermanent" will become the correct reason for establishing that sound is impermanent, and the subject and the proposition will also become correct. Furthermore, it is unreasonable to analyze the subject, whether generosity and so on are the subject, or white dharma is the subject. If it is the former, it is unreasonable, because the subject of a reliable reason is said to be established only by valid scriptures, but this is established by the power of reality. If it is the latter, then when the subject is established, what is to be established will also be established, because the establishment of dharma is in terms of the aspect of generating happiness. It is also unreasonable to analyze the reason, because if only words are taken as the reason, then the pervasion will be mistaken, and the words of special individuals are difficult to understand, and there are no words that are not made by humans, so they think. Some scholars believe that there are reliable reasons and inferences.
