The dharma to be realized through reliance or by cutting off what is to be negated by the mind. Although the two, suchness and ultimate truth, do not have actual differences in kind, the appearance of their general meaning relies on the negation of elaborations of what is to be negated, so it is said to be negation. Then, the general meaning of a pot, should be a subject, it is the nature of establishment, because it is what is signified. It cannot be accepted, because the conception that grasps a pot is an imputation that distinguishes the aspect of non-pot. The definition of negation is also not reasonable, because the elimination of establishment should be a subject, it is what is signified, because of the latter definition. To consider ultimate truth as something to be negated is also not distinguishing the occasion of philosophical tenets, because according to the Sautrāntika school, if it is ultimate truth, it must be a self-characterised entity. According to our own system, the definition of establishment is that which is to be realized as completely determined by the mind. The divisions are: appearance establishment and elimination establishment. The definition of the first is that which is to be realized as completely determined by non-conceptual awareness. The examples are all self-characterised entities that have become the objects of its appearance. The definition of the second is an imputation to be realized as completely determined by conceptual mind. The examples are the elimination of other existents. There are two types of negation: the definition of negation divided by appearance establishment is that which is to be realized as distinguished by the mind. The divisions are non-affirming negation and excluding negation. The definition of the first is that which is to be realized as completely determined by conceptual mind after distinguishing the object of negation from negation. This and elimination establishment have the same meaning. The definition of the second is that which is to be realized only as distinguished by conceptual mind after distinguishing the object of negation from establishment. This and excluding negation have the same meaning. In the Root Text on Reasoning and its auto-commentary, the intention of stating the definitions of these two, establishing another dharma after distinguishing the object of negation and not establishing it, is this, because distinguishing the object of negation is also in terms of elimination, and establishing another dharma and not establishing it are also in terms of elimination, and because the two, negation and establishment, in terms of elimination, and the two, excluding negation and non-affirming negation, are said to have the same meaning. Establishing another dharma also has two types: establishing another dharma by means of cutting off the object of negation in terms of words, and establishing another dharma after cutting off in meaning even though not cutting off in terms of words. The first is like the location of pots, etc., appearing to the conceptual mind. The second is the conceptual mind.

It is like the appearance of a vase. Although what is to be refuted is not cut off in the literal sense, if the other exclusions that exist as the subject, such as the contradiction of the conditioned and the contradiction of impermanence, establish that subject, then considering it as non-affirming negation is the view of this great being. Because the previous proofs are for the sake of establishing non-affirming negation. It is said. This is quoted from the Treatise on Reasoning as the knowledge of non-affirming negation. Here, non-affirming negation refers to the establishment of the reason of the nature of the result as the subject of proof, which is the meaning of the occasion. May the wishes of Sakya Pandita be fulfilled! The definition of negation, which is distinguished by the establishment of exclusion: with wisdom, after distinguishing the establishment of what is to be refuted, it is to be understood only as distinction. This and non-existence negation are to be represented by one definition. Secondly, there are three: negation, establishment, and abandonment. The first is: the previous scholars Chapa Chenpo and others say that the definitions of direct realization and indirect realization are respectively: cutting off superimposition through the appearance of the nature of the thing itself, and cutting off superimposition through the appearance of the nature of other things. Moreover, at the same time as realizing the thing itself, superimposition is also indirectly cut off, so there is no order of earlier and later wisdom. Regarding the way of negating and establishing by this, taking establishment as an example: when inferentially truly measuring that there is fire on the mountain, it is indirectly realized that the nature is the measure of fire; when truly realizing the negation of the conditioned on the permanent, it is indirectly realized that impermanence pervades the conditioned that is remembered. There are two kinds of perception: self-awareness truly establishes wisdom as its object, so it indirectly establishes appearance in that object; other-awareness truly establishes appearance in that object, so it indirectly establishes wisdom as its object. Taking negation as an example: since holding a two-group opposite is pervasive with holding a single noun, truly negating the holding of the general name of the class indirectly negates the holding of the two-group difference, just as negating the distinguishing dharma, a wooden stick, negates the distinguished dharma, the one holding a wooden stick. It is said. This is not reasonable, because the subject of inference should be the measure of indirect realization, because it is the reason for that definition. There is no fault, if it is said that whatever object cuts off superimposition is the measure of indirect realization, then the subject of inference that realizes there is fire on the mountain, the mountain's
