Thinking that dividing into two is also not in accordance with the view of the treatise, because when explaining the meaning of "non-deception," it is also said, "It exists in being able to function." And when explaining the meaning of "not understanding making clear," it is also said, "Not understanding one's own self-nature, what kind of knowledge is it?" Because it is considered in this way. According to the view of the Brahmins, there is no decision for what has not been realized before, so it is not necessary. If the way of grasping is not confused about the meaning, then it is pervasive because it does not apply to the meaning that has already been realized. Eliminating imputation does not pervade direct perception, because if it is direct perception, then cutting off imputation is contradictory. If taking the meaning of realizing the truth as realizing it as the meaning is, then it is impossible, because direct perception also establishes realizing something similar to the meaning as realizing the meaning, and relying on the subsequent inference of the cause of the result also presumptuously grasps the fire that is the cause of smoke, but only grasps the fire. Those in the Treatise on the Treasury of Reasoning say, "Non-deception, not understanding making clear, the two, are synonyms or spoken separately. If established with two definitions, then what is to be expressed also becomes two. If it is thought that what can be expressed and what is to be expressed are two, then the general characteristic being the same is impossible. The way of cutting off non-pervasion is not appropriate here, dividing into two is not the (author's) view. Not necessary, non-pervasion, impossible, these three, if you want to realize the meaning of the truth, are there." In this way, the meaning of what was said is well explained. Now we should examine the views of the Tibetans. Some say that the individual parts of the definitions of the former and latter treatises show that the combination of the two is the only display of the complete definition of validity. Therefore, the new definition of validity is non-deceptive knowledge, and that is also the view of the gods, because the other second definition is because the individual parts of the definition are displayed with the words of the definition. If so, then when displaying non-deceptive knowledge as the definition of validity, before saying not understanding making clear, it is impossible to eliminate the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility, because non-deceptive knowledge is not the complete definition of validity. If it is said, "Direct perception that is combined with name and lineage, etc., and is free from conceptualization." The definition of direct perception at this time also cannot eliminate the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility.
