Because it is nowhere to be found, and your substance exists in the golden vase, because it exists only in the golden vase and not in the silver vase. The meaning of mixing is that, conceptually, it has the nature of excluding others, appearing as a return from non-vase. You have the reason to say that, to you, place, time, and nature appear to be mixed, because it pervades both the eastern vase and the western vase, it pervades both the symbolic time vase and the term time vase, it pervades both the golden vase and the silver vase, because it is fabricated by concept. Secondly, as "Abiding in another, not moving from its own place," by directly showing that there is no common thing, it implies the non-mixing of place. As "The meaning of ultimate meaning, is not different from its mixing," and "The nature of variegated things, is not in yellow," it shows the non-mixing of nature. As "At that time there is no self-nature," and "They do not mix with each other, how are the documents in order," it shows the non-mixing of time. These are directly shown, implying mixing, and especially, "Relying on different things, the mind appears as one," and "Opposite to the non-fruitful, both have it," it shows the mixing of both place and nature. As "The clear things are different, but they do the same thing," etc., it shows the mixing of time. "Because it exists in all returns," etc., it shows the mixing of all three. Fifth, regarding the two refutations and establishments of the basis of self-character, first, some early people said that all things are self-character, otherwise it is difficult to find the basis of self-character. Others say that all things are subject, not self-character, because they are common character. After refuting in this way, their own sect believes that the aggregate of form in front is self-character, and it is divided into two types, coarse and fine. First, although it is self-character, it is not ultimate truth. Second, it is the indivisible subtle particle smaller than itself, which is both self-character and ultimate truth. They say so. This is unreasonable, because the fact that things are common character has already been refuted above, otherwise it is return and growth.

Then, the cause and effect should also be non-self-characteristic, because things are non-self-characteristic. If you allow this, it contradicts statements such as "it is different from others." Furthermore, fire should be non-self-characteristic, because things are non-self-characteristic. If you allow this, then that (fire), the subject, should be the ultimate cause of the smoke that is its own result, because it is the cause. For the self-characteristic of the form aggregate in front of us, it is unreasonable for the gross part to be self-characteristic but not ultimately true, because is the gross part established on the collection of particles with similar companions, or is it established on what is grasped as a single entity by conceptual thought? This has already been refuted by reasoning. Secondly, there is the indivisible moment of consciousness and the indivisible direction of particles. The former is, because self-awareness is experienced by a single moment of direct perception. The latter is, because it (the particle) together with its similar particles, at that time, produces the sense consciousness that is its own result. For the gross part, the collection of particles with similar companions is also, because it produces one substance of sense consciousness that is its own result. The later conceptual thought that grasps it as a single entity is not, because it is an imputation of conceptual thought. The permanent also is not, because it has many parts, and each part produces a separate consciousness that is its own result, and it is impossible for all the parts to gather together and produce one substance of consciousness as its own result. Therefore, the three, name, sentence, and letter, are also not real, because even the shortest of letters, such as the short "A" (ཨ་,A), has many parts, and each part produces a moment of auditory consciousness as its own result. Other than that, the letter, the subject, should be a sound. If you allow this, then it should produce one moment of auditory consciousness as its own result.
