Before that, it is impossible to eliminate the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility, because non-deceptive knowledge is not the complete definition of validity. If it is said that the definition of direct perception in the phrase "Direct perception is free from conceptualization, combining names and types, etc." cannot eliminate the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility, because knowledge free from conceptualization is not the complete definition of direct perception. If so, it is highly accepted, because before mentioning non-deception, the elimination of the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility was not done for knowledge free from conceptualization; and before mentioning the clarity of the meaning not understood, the elimination of the three faults was done for non-deceptive knowledge. There is also no determination in the "new" of the newly stated non-deceptive knowledge, because the decisive knowledge that engages with the meaning already understood is not non-deceptive, because it does not perform the action of understanding by engaging with the meaning already understood. It contradicts the intention of the gods, because the part of the definition of "new" is the subject, it is the second part of the definition of validity, because it is the part of the definition of validity that says "also clarifies the meaning not understood." The sign and pervasion are accepted. If accepted, then that is the subject, it is not the first part of the definition of validity, because of that acceptance. Rejection is accepted. Therefore, the intention of the gods was destroyed by Sakya Pandita. Some say that the later text does not indicate any part of the definition or the complete definition, but only indicates a part of non-deception, because abiding in the ability to perform the meaning is non-deceptive, and also the clarity of the meaning not understood is also the meaning of non-deception, so they say. Others say that the former indicates the non-deception of the object, and the latter indicates the non-deception of the subject, which is also unreasonable. If the latter only indicates a part of non-deception, then the definite knowledge that ascertains blue, which arises after the direct perception of grasping blue, is the subject, it should be valid, because it is the clarity of the meaning not understood, so the debate would become irrelevant. Again, some say that the former text indicates the complete definition of validity, and from "understanding one's own nature from oneself" onwards, it indicates the distinction, because "from oneself" etc. refers to the validity of convention, and the clarity of the meaning not understood.

Some say that the valid cognition of ultimate truth is shown through reasoning, and the distinction is made through the two ways of ordinary beings and noble ones. The division into perception and inference through objects, saying that "because the object to be measured is two" and so on, is not reasonable. Because "understanding one's own nature from oneself" and so on, shows the valid cognition that determines the self-characteristic of the basis, and "the illuminator of unknown meaning" and so on, does not only show the valid cognition of ultimate truth, because "not knowing one's own characteristics, what kind of knowledge is it?" is the intention. Also, some say that the former shows the definition of valid cognition according to Dharmakirti's own system, and then the teacher Dignāga said that "the manifestation of unknown meaning" is the definition of valid cognition, and it is also the same intention, and in order to show this, "the illuminator of unknown meaning" and so on appeared. Because that's the intention. This is also the intention of the Tika on the Pramāṇavārttika, because the auto-commentary on the Pramāṇavārttika says: The teacher Dignāga said "the manifestation of unknown meaning" in some parts of the treatise, and the glorious Dharmakirti made these two into one intention, thinking that it is the non-deceptive wisdom of that meaning. Because that's what it says. This statement is also unreasonable, because here, establishing the definition of valid cognition according to Dharmakirti's own system, and then explaining that it is not contradictory to Dignāga's intention, is not the appropriate time, because this is the time to explain Dignāga's intention. And the meaning of "thinking so" is not to eliminate the contradiction between the two treatises, but to explain the meaning of "the manifestation of unknown meaning." To say that this is the intention of the Tika on the Pramāṇavārttika is completely wrong, because Dignāga said "the manifestation of unknown meaning" in some parts of the treatise, and through the power of this sentence, it has been established that non-deception is spoken of in some parts of the treatise. Otherwise, the teacher Dignāga said "the manifestation of unknown meaning" and so on, and the phrase "in some parts of the treatise" would be meaningless. The glorious Dharmakirti made these two into one intention, and through the power of this sentence, it has been established that non-deceptive wisdom is taught from Dignāga's treatise, because the word "these two" appears. Otherwise, the word "that" should have appeared, but it did not.
