The debater who has become the subject of the proponent, has the property. Because, therefore. The way of self-established pervasion, for the reason that is not certain to be either real or inverted, is the subject of the property. Second, the way of becoming two. The reason for this is, refuting arguments, and becoming examples and points of contention, three. First, for uncertain reasons, if it is not other than the subject of knowledge, it is a non-common reason. If it is other, it is a common reason. Second, some people, for what other things than the subject of knowledge do they do? Is it for other opposites, or for other substances? If it is the former, then, the sound heard is not the non-common reason for establishing that sound is impermanent, because, the opposite of the sound heard will involve drum sounds and so on. If it is the latter, then, the emptiness of action is the non-common reason for establishing the emptiness of momentary emptiness, the emptiness of being able to perform functions, because, it is not other than the substance of momentary emptiness, if you say so. Those two are not that meaning, because, the object to be taken as a sign, for being able to determine any of the same and different sides other than the subject of knowledge, is established as common, and not being able to determine is established as non-common. Third, the way of becoming examples and points of contention with different entities, and the way of becoming examples and points of contention with the same entity, also because of the appearance of other minds, are two types. The first is, when establishing fire and impermanence, the stove and sound are points of contention, and mangoes and bottles become examples, and so on. The second is, the change of whether or not the term is established, and the change by general and specific, two types. The first is, the opposite of the vase, has the property. It can become the term of exclusion of others, because, it is the reason for cutting off contradictions and acting, like the opposite of impermanence. The second has two types, the size of pervasion is, only knowable, has the property. No self-nature, because, it is separated from the true one and many, like the knowable of non-existent things. If general and specific can become points of contention and examples, then, when establishing that sound is impermanent with the reason of what is heard, is it the same that only sound is the point of contention, and the drum sound can become an example? Not the same, because, on top of the knowable of non-existent things, after determining the previous pervasive relationship, only the knowable

Because there is uncertainty above. Because on the drum sound, it is certain that impermanence pervades the audible, so it is impossible to have uncertainty on the sound itself. Because the measure that only holds knowable things cannot establish one and many as separate, while the measure that only holds sound can establish audible things. Similarly, sound is the subject, it is impermanent, because sound is made. For example, like the drum sound, this is also a specific example. The second is the case of equal pervasion: direct perception is the subject, it is knowledge, because it returns from matter and is born as the nature of awareness. If it is said "like self-awareness direct perception," then direct perception becomes the basis of dispute, and self-awareness becomes the example. In short, if there is a difference between establishment and non-establishment in the mind from the perspective of excluding others, then whether it is substance and reverse, or general and specific, or definition and defined, whatever it is, one should take what is easy to establish in the mind as an example, and for all things that are difficult to establish and become the basis of dispute, one should understand it in this way. The third is divided into two: uncommon uncertainty and common uncertainty. The definition of the first is: any uncertain reason that the opponent who uses it as a reason has not seen in either the similar or dissimilar class. Classification: there are four situations, which are that neither the similar nor dissimilar class is seen; both have it, but it is not seen; it is in the similar class, but it is not seen; it is in the dissimilar class, but it is not seen. These four situations are in order: sound is the subject, it is impermanent, because it is audible. This person is the subject, he is reborn from the heavens, because he has eyes. For the debater who believes that the sound of species is permanent, sound is the subject, it is impermanent, because it is made, like the sound of the Vedas. Space is the subject, it is permanent, because it is not made, like the sound of the Vedas. The definition of the second is: any uncertain reason that the opponent who uses it as a reason has seen in either the similar or dissimilar class. Classification: divided into two types of reasons: factual uncertainty and residual uncertainty. The definition of the first is: any common uncertain reason that the opponent who uses it as a reason has seen in both the similar and dissimilar classes. Classification: divided into seeing it as pervasive in both aspects; pervasive in the similar class; not
