The direct perception of self-grasping is the external object that actually creates the appearance of its own nature. To classify it: From the perspective of the subject, there are two types of objects: the perceived object of sense perception and the perceived object of mental perception. From the perspective of the object, there are five: form, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Third, the definition of the object of attachment is: the object that is grasped and recognized by the mind, which mainly focuses on the way of grasping the self. To classify it: there are two types: the object of attachment of valid cognition and the object of attachment of determination. The first is: the objects that are proven by inference. The second is: the objects that are proven by the two valid cognitions, which are transformed into the object of attachment of determination that is guided by them, like this situation. Fourth, the definition and classification of the object of action: If the object of action is its own nature, then there are three types of analysis of whether it is pervasive or not. The first type, some people say: When entering for the sake of acceptance and rejection, it is not deceptive, this statement is unreasonable. If the object of action is, then it is the result of acceptance and rejection, therefore, all individuals will enter. Because "is" directly shows the object of action, so it is pervasive, because that definition is reasonable. If you admit, then the object of action is its own nature, which is pervasive. The self-tradition is: the action of the subject that is consistent with the meaning, becomes the object that is the basis of entry. Someone says: Blue, this dharma, becomes the object of determination guided by the direct perception of blue cognition. Because its action becomes the object that is the basis of entry, so it is not established. Because for that blue, before that determination, the valid cognition has already completed its action. The second is: Classifying the object of action from the perspective of the subject, as mentioned earlier, there are three types. The first type, for the object of action of valid cognition, there are two types of objects of action: direct perception and inference. The first type, for the object of action of sense perception, is the self-nature of the external object; for the object of action of self-awareness perception, it is the self-nature of consciousness; for the object of action of yogic perception, it is the nature of phenomena. The object of action of inference is the things that are proven by correct reasoning. The object of action of sound is like, the self-nature of a cow is the object of action that is consistent with the meaning of the word "cow". The object of action of an individual is no different from the previous ones, because it relies on valid cognition and sound to enter the object. The third type, some people say: Only things are the object of entry and exit, because it can bring benefits and harms.

It is because, just like medicine and poison, etc. It is like this, 'One's own nature is measured only,' and 'Both valid cognitions are objects of things,' and in the 'Self-Commentary' it says: 'Because it is measured by being the object of accomplishing meaning, knowing that it accomplishes happiness and suffering, one desires to take and abandon, not with hesitation.' Because of this reason. It is not an object of taking and abandoning for non-entities, because it cannot benefit or harm, just like the son of a barren woman. It is like this, 'If it cannot accomplish meaning, what is the use of examining for meaning?' Because it is said like this. If so, then inferences based on negation entail having no object to grasp, because if it is an object to grasp, it must be a real entity. If you say there is no fault, like understanding a place without a pot, the basis of negation exists as a real entity, and that basis of negation itself is the object to grasp, like understanding emptiness as a non-entity, for those where the basis of negation does not exist as a real entity, the object of negation, the real entity itself, is the object to grasp, or the apprehended aspect of the inference itself becomes the object to grasp. If you say this, then the first is not reasonable, because the inference that understands sound as impermanent would be valid for sound, having such a fault. Because the place purified by the pot, like other valid cognitions before the inference, has already been made the object to grasp, therefore, to make it the object to grasp, the inference that understands the place as without a pot is meaningless. The second is also not reasonable, because the permanent entity would become the object to grasp of the inference that understands sound as not being a permanent entity, having such a fault. The third is also not reasonable, because the apprehended aspect of the inference would become obscured to that inference, having such a fault, and if you also think so, then one's own mind becoming obscured to oneself would remain in the system of the debaters. If one's own system is valid cognition, it is pervaded by having an object to grasp, and the meaning of the previous scriptures is spoken for the object of taking and abandoning of the universally conventional valid cognition. If so, then what is the universally conventional valid cognition like? What is the valid cognition other than that like? The first is, becoming the cause of taking and abandoning for the ability to benefit and harm, the valid cognition that is universally present whether or not one has entered a philosophical system.
