Therefore, if considered from the perspective of inherent concomitance and counter-concomitance, any of the three aspects (referring to the subject, similar instances, and dissimilar instances) can definitely determine, because the three extremes relying on causes are eliminated, and the characteristics of the effect, both concomitance and counter-concomitance, are established. Because it was not previously observed, it eliminates arising from other causes; the counter-concomitance of the effect is established, and the observation of not existing before and arising later, these two situations eliminate never arising and arising from no cause; the concomitance of the effect is established. Second, determining the definition: Some people think that relation is the entity of a thing's own nature, which is unreasonable, because there is no concomitance between things' own natures. Some people think that it is only sound and meaning, which is unreasonable, because sound and meaning are non-entities, and establishing a relation cannot understand the own nature. The self-system holds that with the exclusion consciousness that mistakes sound and meaning as own nature, it grasps smoke, fire, made, impermanence, and so on. Because at that time it is said, "The expresser follows, and realizes the self-nature with the general characteristic." Third, regarding the way to determine these, there are two: one side determining is the view of others, and both are needed is the view of the self. The first has two: determining by analysis, the Kashmiri De Xie Gawa said: "Temporary relations are determined by valid cognition, but the relations of self-nature must be determined by analysis." So it is said. Determining by valid cognition: The panditas of the Sunlight School unanimously agree that, as previously said, the relation is determined by the valid cognition that determines concomitance and counter-concomitance, for example, the valid cognition that grasps the characteristics of the sign, and the valid cognition that prevents it in the dissimilar side, through existence if there is concomitance, and non-existence if there is counter-concomitance, therefore universality is established. So it is said. The second is: analysis that does not rely on valid cognition may also produce exclusion reversal, so it cannot be determined. If direct perception cannot be determined, then the terms of concomitance and counter-concomitance cannot be established. Therefore, it does not go beyond conceptual analysis, although it is excluded by the dissimilar instances of inference, but without conceptual analysis, the similar instances and relation cannot be established, therefore the certainty produced by the power of valid cognition, the relation is determined by conceptual analysis, saying "It is understood as one thing by confusion," and analysis is the object of being able to function

Because of this reason. Thus it is said. The detailed explanation of constant connection, that is, the sixth chapter, has been completed. Secondly, regarding the way of realizing contradiction, there are two: the general characteristic and the detailed distinction of the characteristics. First, among the three: refutation, establishment, and abandonment, first, there are stating the assertion and refuting it. First, some people think that the characteristic of contradiction is that different entities and different bases cannot exist together, or, if something is established, then there will be no confusion in preventing something, for example, if blue is established, then there will be no confusion in preventing non-blue. If distinguished, there are two types: mutually exclusive contradiction and reciprocal exclusion contradiction. The characteristic of the first is that something is devoid of something, and it is not permissible to be a relative who can always accompany and is capable of abandoning, or, something is devoid of something, and if they meet each other, they will become harmful. Moreover, if the strengths are equal, then the harm is equal, for example, dying together. If the strengths are not equal, then the greater the strength, the greater the harm, and the smaller the strength, the smaller the harm, because the abilities contradict each other. The characteristic of the second is that any dharma is devoid of its own object of negation, or, if it is established that something is, then there will be no confusion in preventing that non-thing, for example, if it is established that blue is, then there will be no confusion in preventing non-blue. If asked, then will the continuum of hot and cold become mutually exclusive contradictions? The answer is yes, because the two contradictions of hot and cold have the same essence and exist in the smaller Dharma Superior, as explained. Some people add "the continuum does not reverse" as a supplement to the characteristic, thereby cutting off the mutually exclusive contradiction. If distinguished, there are two types: substantial contradiction and relational contradiction. The characteristic of the first is that the categories established by determination and exclusion are of the same entity, or, something is devoid of something, and its object of negation exists only in determination and exclusion, for example, on one basis, blue is established by preventing non-blue. The characteristic of the second is that both or either of the contradictory pairs are distinguished by determination and exclusion, for example, blue and yellow. If distinguished, there are two types: distinguished by substantial contradiction and not distinguished. These also become six types from the perspective of contradiction between substance and reverse, substantial substantial contradiction is like permanence and impermanence. The distinction of substance by substantial contradiction is like permanence and created. Undistinguished is like blue and yellow. Reverse substantial contradiction
