It is not so, because qualities and things would become things and non-things. Here, from "things with meaning" to "because it exists," the example of how the first commitment is harmed is shown. Know that the two verses such as "as it is said" imply that the latter two should be understood. The second part has three points: explaining the need to show examples; the actual example with necessity; and the way in which the latter two are represented by that example. The first point is: there are three faults such as excluding the characteristics of the Dharma, and the meaning of the example that harms the characteristics of the Dharma is that only one side is stated, which is necessary, because the meaning of these three is for the purpose of teaching. The second part has two points: explaining the way of harming by inference; and explaining the way of harming by promises, etc. The first part has four points: explaining the intended meaning of the commitment to the object of harm; showing the reason for harming it; refuting other answers that have no harm; and in this way, it is also established that others are refuted. The first point is: the Vaisheshika, as the subject, has parts, that is, the thing with parts, has qualities such as weight that its own parts do not have, has actions such as moving downwards, has the cause of these things conforming to aggregation, that is, has the characteristics of a thing that is complete with these three dharmas, relies on what is obviously seen, that is, what can appear, is committed to exist as another thing outside of its own parts, that is, committing that the thing with parts exists outside of the parts, if it is not obviously seen, that is, the thing with parts that cannot appear exists outside of the parts, then the previous debater's intention does not need to be established, and, for the commitment that the thing with parts that does not have the characteristics of the three dharmas exists outside of the parts, the later debater does not need to establish the intention of knowledge. The reason is also not established, because seeing that there are no results such as obscuration and obstruction for the dust particles that are obviously invisible, in order to establish obscuration and obstruction, etc., one wants to argue that the thing with parts exists outside of the parts. The latter is established, because if one argues that the thing with parts that does not have the characteristics of the three dharmas exists only outside of the parts, then the later debater is the Buddha.

Because establishment is the reason for being able to establish. Second, if one makes a refutation of this meaning of the Svātantrika declared by the teacher because he does not adhere to the difference of the lower scale, then, if this possessor of limbs possesses a heavier quality than the weight of the limbs, and possesses the function of its fruit sinking downwards, then, when one group is mixed from two groups of ten clay marbles of equal weight and placed on the scale for weighing, the subject, relative to the group of ten clay marbles that are weighed without mixing, the head of the scale will necessarily become lower, because the group of ten clay marbles that are weighed without mixing is equal in weight to the limbs, and has more weight than the possessor of limbs and the function of the fruit sinking downwards. If there are these two, an increase in weight and the function of sinking downwards, here, the head of the scale will become lower, this is a refutation thrown out without admitting it. When determining the three characteristics, saying that the result is the function of the scale head sinking downwards is not understanding. The subsequent inference relying on the Svātantrika thrown out by that refutation is the damaging measure at this time. Because those do not have the difference of the low scale head, therefore, the possessor of limbs, the subject, is not the cause of the aggregation that accords with the increase in the weight of qualities and the function of the fruit sinking downwards, because there is no increase in the qualities and function of the possessor of limbs. If you admit it, then it contradicts the commitment. Therefore, the limbs, the subject, are not seeing the possessor of limbs with three characteristics, because none of the fruit or nature of the substance with three characteristics is seen, because the definition of substance is impossible. The subsequent inference relying on the reason of not adhering to the difference of the low scale, the subject, if the nature of the dharma is not merely different from the limbs, then the difference of the dharma that does not arise, the other three characteristics, are harmful to it, because it is the measure that indirectly negates the other two by actually preventing the increase in the weight of qualities, therefore, because of that reason. Third, there are two, answering others, refuting the meaning of the example. First, starting from the aggregation of two and three, etc., subtle particles, if each aggregation produces a substance, then here, because the continuous series of many substances of the limbs are simultaneously placed on the scale for weighing, therefore the substance produced from the single mixture
