Therefore, the conventional sound "moon" etc., which arises from that, dharma, you cannot deny anything to which it can be applied, because mere intention applies to things. Therefore, the previously conventionally named word "moon," such as referring to something with a rabbit, and those not conventionally named, such as vases, dharma, conventional sounds can be expressed through various natures, because all conventional sounds apply merely through intention. Therefore, the expressibility of conventional sounds, which is merely the object of conception and is related to previously named words, thereby making that word expressible, or through later addition making that word expressible, dharma, vows that contradict this and prevent expression will be harmed, because the opposite of the inexpressible has already been established with valid evidence. Fourth, even though the sound of "moon" etc. has not already become known for vases etc., vases etc., dharma, all sounds such as "moon" etc. are related, that is, can be applied, because all conventional sounds can be applied to all things, and this is established by the power of that very fact. Therefore, Dignāga, dharma, it is said that the sound of "moon" etc. can be established for vases etc., because he said, "For what is it not common?" This is the explanation method of Pramāṇasamuccaya. Fifth, if, other than that, all things cannot be expressed by conventional sounds, and this harms expressibility, then something with a rabbit, dharma, if you prevent it from being expressed by the word "moon," then it will be prevented by inference, because you cannot express the meaning of that sound with the word "moon," and there is no application of sensory manifestation as proof. It cannot be intended, because something with a rabbit can be expressed by the word "moon," and the reason for posing a harm here has been proven not to become common to both the subject of debate and the similar example. As it says in Pramāṇasamuccaya, "Therefore, the reason for harm is not common, because for anything, it has not been proven not to be a moon." Because he himself spoke of Svatantra. If there is existence without subsequent concomitance, then other reasons will have subsequent concomitance.

Now, to prove that words like 'moon with a rabbit' and other arbitrary terms are unspeakable, the reason exists, but the example has no pervasion. (Tibetan) Thus, the example given by the teacher, as the subject of the proposition, you use the term 'moon with a rabbit' to prove that it is unspeakable, and for any phenomenon that pervades all things, the understanding that the example has no pervasion, thereby preventing any arbitrary term from being spoken, whatever is established as the reason is not common to the example, therefore there is no inference. Understanding it this way is considered to have a result or necessity. Because you want to know that all reasons for preventing all things from being spoken with arbitrary terms are uncommon, it is the example mentioned by the teacher. Second, although it is only established that all things are speakable, why is it said, 'fame arising from sound'? If you ask this, for the speakable, the teacher said, 'fame arising from sound,' as the subject of the proposition, it is necessary, because the application of arbitrary terms to things is dependent on convention, and convention also depends only on the intention to speak. Then, the establishment of speakability for all arbitrary terms such as 'moon' is not unestablished for any phenomenon, in order to understand it this way. This is the explanation of the 'Determination of Valid Cognition' and the 'Treasury of Reasoning.' Therefore, what is refuted by the meaning contrary to the fame arising from sound is also not a subject, such a statement of scripture, as the subject of the proposition, shows that the direct and inferential valid cognition joined by the power of things, for the mode of establishment, in measuring the opposite side of the object to be measured, there is a valid cognition without confusion, because for the fame that does not join with the power of things but arises merely from assumption, it also shows that there is no competing valid cognition, therefore it infers and shows accordingly. Second, there are three ways to establish the distinction of objects through two explanations: the actual way to establish the distinction of objects; refuting others' examination of it; analyzing the teacher's own intention. First, regarding the meaning of the scriptural statement 'because it is uncommon to what,' etc., from the inference of fame, it is explained without harm or competition. Or, the scriptural statement, as the subject of the proposition, worldly speech uses the term 'moon with a rabbit.'
