In short, regarding the question of "whether it exceeds the commitment or not." If this is the former view, then in the case of being well-known, it also becomes the former view like before. Because it does not rely on it, etc., in short, this is explaining the meaning of showing trust separately from inference, not explaining the meaning of distinguishing commitment and one's own words in reasoning. If it is said that it harms all things, then explaining it as becoming harm is too extreme. If the subject established by scripture is not harmed by scripture, then it contradicts the statement in Pramāṇavārttika, "Because of establishing the subject, it is a distinction of treatises, therefore it is harm." If it is harm, then it contradicts being the former view, such as "therefore it is very famous." The former view is incorrect. Saying that one's own words are also different, this is also explaining the meaning of showing one's own words different from commitment in reasoning, which is also unreasonable. In the two cases of trust, since the meaning of distinguishing commitment from inference has already been shown, this shows the meaning of distinguishing one's own words from inference. The second part has three points: explaining the main point of combining two words into one, explaining the main point of excluding and combining into one, and explaining the main point of showing trust separately. The first part has two points: explaining the reason for combining two words into one, and explaining the necessity of combining two words into one. The first point is: In short, the reason for explaining "one's own words and the treatises are both trust" as combining into one is that for the debater himself and others, the author of the treatise ascertains the truth of the content, and for the debater who wants to express that meaning to others, one's own words and the words of scripture are the same in the position of trust, that is your reason. The second point is: In short, the necessity of explaining with the phrase "this treatise together with one's own words is trust" is that if the debater himself does not acknowledge the content as valid cognition, then the words expressing that meaning will not be used, and merely saying one's own words is equivalent to implicitly acknowledging the existence of valid cognition that ascertains the content, similarly, the treatise is valid cognition.

If one does not rely on it, then it is not permissible to analyze the well-known Dharma in that treatise. Therefore, acknowledging the Dharma established by scripture is equivalent to acknowledging scripture as valid cognition. This is to show this point. Some people apply this as a way to explain the reason, which contradicts the Pramāṇaviniścaya. Because in the Pramāṇaviniścaya, to express the meaning of "the object's own basis causes harm," it is said, "If the nature is how valid cognition," etc. This treatise, along with its own words, is necessary to explain. If one acknowledges the treatise as valid cognition, then at that time, the object, that is, the Dharma established by scripture itself, is harmed, but not the Dharma established by direct perception. This is to show this meaning. Second, scripture and one's own words are the same in credibility. Therefore, for these two contradictions of scripture and one's own words, Dharma, examples are also shown in the sutras to be the same, because "valid cognitions that measure objects do not exist" indicates the example. This contradicts both scripture and one's own words. Like this, the opponents who acknowledge scripture as valid cognition, Dharma, if you vow that there is no valid cognition, then that statement itself implicitly shows that it is valid cognition, and the previously acknowledged scripture will cause harm, because if valid cognitions in general do not exist, then treatises and one's own words cannot be valid cognitions. Therefore, the vow to vow that valid cognitions that measure objects do not exist, Dharma, is an example of excluding contradiction with one's own words, because after actually vowing that there is no valid cognition, one implicitly acknowledges that the statement itself is valid cognition. Furthermore, this, Dharma, is an example of only indicating one aspect of contradiction with scripture, because previously acknowledging scripture as valid cognition and later vowing that there is no valid cognition, through the way of contradiction, indicates an example of contradiction with scripture, but it is not because one's own opposite, established only by scripture, harms one's own attachment. The vow that Dharma, happiness will not be achieved in the future, Dharma, is an example of excluding contradiction with scripture, because on the Dharma established only by scripture, one has vowed a vow that contradicts the valid cognition of scripture.
