However, how could one not obtain accepting other treatises by one's own intention? Because it is obtainable. Third, summarizing the completed extensive explanation: Regarding the nature of the subject, here, the self-sound of Dignāga, is the subject, it is necessary. Because it is seen that the opponent debater mistakenly believes that all the promised scriptural contents are to be established, in order to eliminate this error. Even if it harms the scriptural content that the debater himself does not consider to be established, it will not harm what he considers to be established, and the scriptural content is not to be established, and when the reason contradicts by preventing the scriptural content, there will be no contradictory sign. Here, some people connect "Introduction to the Treatise's Intention" and below to refuting the necessity of other schools' self-sound. Others say, "The difference is made by the treatise." etc. "The self-sound also becomes meaningless." etc., connected to resolving doubts, this is because this verse shows the summary of one's own school, and it is the fault of not understanding the way of explaining the Commentary on Pramāṇasamuccaya, which guides the beginning of the subsequent treatise with the summary of the previous treatise. Second, refuting the necessity of other schools' self-sound, divided into two: refuting the statement for the sake of knowing fame as the basis; refuting the statement for the sake of knowing that the subject is not to be established. The first is: the qualities of space, etc., made by the treatise authors, completely abandoning the subject of proof such as "sound is impermanent," in order to grasp the subject that is very famous to both the proponent and the opponent, that is, the dharma established in common appearance, such as sound, etc., is the subject of that time, the commentators of the sutras say that they are expressing their own sound. For the debaters who argue whether sound is permanent or impermanent, the sound etc. established in common appearance to both of you, in order to know that it is the subject of the time, it is reasonable that your own sound becomes meaningless. Even without one's own sound, merely analyzing permanence and impermanence etc. on sound, through the occasion of the time, the sound etc. that is very famous to both of you, that is, established in common appearance, will be established as the basis of the time. Because the qualities of space etc. with differences set by the treatise authors' own intentions, there is no dispute over the dharma of difference, only sound.

Above, for the sake of arguing about permanence and impermanence. Second, divided into two: refuting that what is already established is not the proposition itself is necessary; refuting that a property without a basis is not the proposition is necessary. First: If the sound of oneself is the subject, for the sake of both opponents, it is shown to be established by valid cognition as a common appearance, so it is said that the subject that is already established is not the proposition, then, as far as the nature of the subject is concerned, in order to know that the subject that is already established is not the proposition, you do not need to say "oneself" on the side, because it only shows one's own nature, that is, the nature itself, what you say on the side, because this has already understood that the subject established by valid cognition is not the proposition. If it is being established by valid cognition, and the nature established as the proof, such as the unestablished cause, is shown as the proposition, or doubts, etc. exist, then, you say on the side that it is shown as the proposition, this will become the result, that is, it has the necessity. Second, divided into three: the property is the proposition, which is refuted by others; if the property is taken as the proposition, it is not a fault of the proposition; if it is a fault of the proposition, then it is shown as the refutation of the proposition. First: If the sound known by oneself is shown as the subject, it is not to eliminate that the established property is the proposition, but to eliminate that the property that is not established in meaning, such as the main one, is the proposition, then, as far as the nature of the proposition is concerned, here, in order to eliminate that the property that is not established is the proposition, even if you do not show words such as "oneself", there is no contradiction to the nature of the proposition, that is, there is no fault at all. Because all inferences are objects of the general, for example, the teacher said, taking the dharma of the common dispute as the object, therefore knowing that the unestablished property is not the proposition. Second: If the unestablished property is taken as the proposition, then what kind of fault of the proposition will it become? If you ask this, it will become the fault that the cause cannot establish it. Why? If it is considered as a dharma, then because the property is not established, the cause has no property of the proposition; if it is considered as a dharma, then there is no subsequent following on the example, then, the property, such as the main one, is not established, then the proposition
