Because, if one reason is blocked, it is equivalent to admitting that all other reasons are blocked, which is a sectarian view. For example, it is like being angry with one ethnic group and punishing other innocent ethnic groups as well. Furthermore, the entire system of what needs to be proven and the valid reasons that can prove it will thus decline and be cut off. Because if all the meanings of the scriptures are equated with what needs to be proven, then it is impossible to state the real reasons that can prove it. Third, refuting the argument is divided into two points: refuting the fault of not confusing contradictions, and refuting stating other answers that seem correct. The first point: If the 'made' reason blocks the emptiness nature in the meaning of the scriptures, thus establishing the non-emptiness nature, but does not hinder the establishment of impermanence, then the establishment of permanence etc. of sound by 'audibility' etc., and the establishment of impermanence etc., are also equally non-obstructive to each other, is that so? If so, then, as a subject, such as sound, one subject, if it is established by reason that you are impermanent, then it will hinder the establishment of permanence that is definitely contrary to this, because for you, these contradictory things of permanence and impermanence cannot be gathered together. Because in this case of establishing that sound is impermanent by 'made', as a subject, the non-emptiness nature and impermanence of sound, the establishment of one does not hinder the establishment of the other, because these two, non-emptiness nature and impermanence, do not have the contradiction like permanence and impermanence, so it will not hinder. The second point: Even if impermanence is not related to emptiness nature, if 'made' harms the emptiness nature of sound, it will also harm the impermanence of sound, thus becoming a contradictory reason, because although impermanence and non-emptiness nature are not the harmer and the harmed, if 'made' harms the emptiness nature of sound, it will disrupt the meaning of the treatise, that is, block the meaning of the treatise, is that so? If so, then all 'made' and 'effort-born' etc., as subjects, the permanence of smell harming the nature of earth etc., all these will become contradictions that harm the current need to be proven, because the permanence of smell harms the nature of earth, thus blocking one scriptural meaning. If the emptiness nature is related to sound, therefore, by 'made' as a subject, blocking the emptiness nature of sound will become a contradiction that harms impermanence itself, but blocking the earth nature of smell will not become a contradiction.

If so, the created phenomena, having the property of being created, it is not the case that by negating the qualities of space on sound, it becomes a contradictory sign for establishing that sound is impermanent, because the qualities of space on sound are not the object to be established for establishing that sound is impermanent. Generally speaking, all signs depend on their own object to be established, and if those are negated, there will be faults such as contradiction, etc., and if they are able to establish, then they are correct qualities, which need to be examined. Therefore, if sound does not have the qualities of space, then the connection that the object to be established for establishing that sound is impermanent will not arise is not realized in this case of establishing that sound is impermanent by creation. However, if creation harms the qualities of space on sound, then it must be accepted that it is a fault of contradictory sign only from the perspective of harming the object of attachment of the treatise. If that is the case, the created phenomena, having the property of being created, furthermore, by negating the qualities of earth on smell, it also becomes a contradictory sign for establishing that sound is impermanent, because negating the meaning of the scripture is also the same as negating the qualities of earth on smell. Second, refuting the view that the meaning of one's own school's scripture is the object to be established, there are two: stating the view, explaining the refutation. First: some commentators of the Compendium say, if the opponent accepts the treatise as valid, then therefore the opponent should consider all the meanings seen to be explained in that treatise as objects to be established through the occasion. Second, there are two: stating the unestablished becomes a pledge, stating one's own words becomes meaningless. First, there are two: stating the consequence, refuting the avoidance of fault. First: the example and reason stated in the treatise accepted by the opponent are unestablished, having the property, your statement also becomes a pledge, because you, the opponent, consider it the object to be established of the occasion. Second: if the example stated as the means of proof itself, the sign is unestablished, having the property, you are not the object to be established of the occasion, because by stating that it is considered the characteristic of the object to be established, it is excluded that you are the object to be established of the occasion, if so. The example stated in the scripture, the sign is unestablished, having the property, it is not the case that you cannot avoid it from the words "it is considered to be the object to be established", because you are the object to be established, which is obtained through the reasoning of being the meaning of the scripture. If the example, the sign is unestablished, having the property, it is not the object to be established, because the opponent does not consider it the object to be established.
