There are four points to refute what is grasped: If the meaning of the scriptures is taken as the thesis, it is too extreme. Even if the meaning of the scriptures is not accepted, the thesis can be established. Even without the meaning of the scriptures, the reasoning is not flawed. Even without the meaning of the scriptures, the opponent is not flawed. The first point is: If it is thought that in the similar example, only showing that all the meanings of the scriptures spoken from the treatises pervade one sign that establishes, will become the establisher, otherwise it is not. This is a transcendental way of the world, because in the world, a correct sign cannot exist. Because there cannot exist a sign that is definitely pervaded by all the meanings of the scriptures. Furthermore, sound is the subject, the quality of space is not established, so how can impermanence of the dharma be established? It will not be established, because impermanence has no connection with the quality of space. Therefore, for the sake of establishing that sound is impermanent, the reason stated, being made, is the subject. How can it be a flawed reason, since it harms irrelevant scriptural meanings? It is not flawed, because from you, your own thesis is established. The second point is: When the sign establishes the thesis, the subject, it is not necessary to show on the similar example that all the dharmas of the subject spoken from the scriptures pervade the sign. Because the subject, all the dharmas of other people and la, the sign pervades the similar example, even if it is not accepted, one can infer that other people have minds, and la has fire, etc., from words and smoke, etc. The third point is: Nature is just a tree, and the meaning of establishing some things such as without cause. Like flesh and smoke, the subject, because it harms the speech of some opponents, it is not a reversal from the nature of establishing one's own thesis, because it is a reason of the subject that is not contrary to one's own dharma of the thesis. If it is so for an opponent who does not understand the meaning of the scriptures, but for an opponent who understands the meaning of the scriptures, it will not become a correct reason, because it harms the meaning of the scriptures. If other opponents who do not understand the meaning of the scriptures, the subject, how can the reason flesh and smoke not understand their own thesis? They will understand, because flesh and smoke understand the meaning of the dharma of their own desired thesis, and the reason why it does not arise without it.

Because of that reason. Fourth, if someone argues that the opponent who presents "produced" as a reason to prove that "sound is impermanent" is a faulty opponent, because he states a reason that harms the meaning of the scriptures. Then, whether the opponent states "produced" as a reason or not, is it contradictory to the meaning of the scriptures, that is, harmful? Or is it that stating it gives rise to harm? If it is the former, then in this case of proving that "sound is impermanent" by "produced," the subject, from the aspect of "produced" obstructing the meaning of the scriptures, what fault has the opponent committed? Because he has done nothing at all. The opponent's fault of stating "produced" as a reason does not cause harm to the scriptures, but because the nature of "produced" itself is harmful to the meaning of the scriptures. If it is said that the opponent is at fault because he first accepted the scriptures and later stated a reason that harms them. Then, the opponent, the subject, from the aspect of stating "produced" as a reason, you are not doing something unreasonable, because if you did not state "produced" as a reason, wouldn't "produced" be harmful to the meaning of the scriptures? Because it is harmful from the beginning. If you admit it, then the opponent, the subject, for what reason is the opponent at fault? Because he has not done the act of placing the opponent in a faulty position. If it is said that stating a seemingly valid reason also does not become the opponent's fault, because the seemingly valid reason did not arise because the opponent stated it. If you say so, then the opponent who states a seemingly valid reason, the subject, will become a faulty opponent, because when presenting a faultless proof, he states a meaningless reason for proving what is to be proven, because for other opponents, the opponent states the reason that the thing he wants to prove itself is the opponent who states the reason that has no ability to prove it. In this case of proving that "sound is impermanent" by "produced," that opponent, the subject, is not a faulty opponent, because he states the correct reason that can prove what he wants to prove. The third is, if some scriptures say unreasonable things like "sound is a quality of space," because it is blocked by the reason of "produced," so the meaning of those who speak reasonably, other things like "sound is impermanent" will also be blocked, this tenet, the subject, is the same as the customs of bad lineages.
