Therefore, due to the craving arising from ignorance, one is completely attached to accepting and rejecting happiness and suffering. The second case is: a person who has abandoned the craving arising from self-grasping, even if karma and body exist, will not take birth with the three causes of karma, afflictions, and body, because the main cause, affliction, no longer exists. For example, just as a sprout does not grow without a seed. Here, the treatises on the truth of the path establish the path of realizing selflessness as the antidote to samsara. Because the cause of the suffering of samsara is ignorance, which includes the view of the aggregates of decay, and the condition is craving, the occasion of the treatise also has two occasions for establishing the antidote to these. The first is: by showing that the path of realizing selflessness has the ability to abandon samsara by "the path that has been explained", it is argued from three aspects: entering the reality of the object, contradicting the view of self and attachment, and the view of self being the root of samsara. The first is: "Consciousness is the dharma that grasps objects" etc.; the second is: "Because the view of emptiness contradicts it" etc.; the third is: "Whoever sees the self" etc. Other paths recognize the faults of attachment to the self, meditate on the aggregates etc. as suffering, recognize that the aggregates and the self are different, and renounce suffering etc., because they do not contradict the view of self and attachment, they cannot abandon the view of self, therefore they cannot become the antidote to samsara. That is, "If attachment has faults" etc. The summary of all these meanings is: "Therefore, desiring liberation, unobstructed" etc. this verse. The second is: just as when explaining and arising, it is established that craving is the cause of definitely producing suffering, if craving is not abandoned, the suffering of samsara cannot be abandoned. The rituals spoken of in the scriptures cannot harm the cause - self-grasping, therefore they cannot abandon the result - inverted craving, that is, "The scriptures are such reality" etc. The path of realizing selflessness is able to abandon the result - craving and its followers by abandoning the cause - self-grasping, that is, "Relying on the four truths" etc. The summary of all these meanings is: "When karma and body exist" etc. this verse.

Another question is: The idea that there is no antidote to abandon karma and body other than the antidote to afflictions, like "Karma and body are not abandoned," etc., mainly focuses on establishing the path to liberation of one's own school. Regarding the path to liberation of other schools, one should not focus on this kind of timely refutation, but should do Tibetan commentaries. The way to attain liberation through meditating on selflessness, as well as refuting other debates on this, practicing the realization of emptiness as the path, and the antidote of not abandoning self-grasping cannot be used as the path. Among these four points, the last point includes being free from attachment to self, as well as merely the rituals described in the scriptures, and the methods of exhausting karma and body cannot be used as antidotes. Others divide the practice of one's own school's path to liberation and the refutation of other schools' paths to liberation into two parts. The latter includes being free from attachment to self, as well as contemplating power, etc., as suffering, as well as understanding the difference between power and self, as well as being disgusted with suffering, as well as the rituals described in the scriptures, and the methods of exhausting karma and body cannot be used as antidotes. Organizing it in this way are two ways of becoming antidotes, and for these two ways, without distinguishing the timely refutation of other schools, the key points are weakened in practice, and it is insisted that this treatise is specifically for debate. I, by the blessing and good words of Sakya Pandita, do not have the burden of being confused about the key points of logic. Third, besides the above, there are no other antidotes to karma and body, which has four points: Abandoning karma and body has no necessary ability, negating the existence of antidotes to exhaust karma, refuting views that contradict wanting to exhaust karma, and refuting that the cause and effect of karma and afflictions are the same. The first point is: Just as the antidote to abandoning afflictions is the path, the antidote to abandoning karma and body should also be the path, because karma, body, and afflictions are all causes of arising. If one thinks so, then those who seek liberation should not only abandon karma and body, because there is no antidote to only abandon these two, and without abandoning craving, there is no ability to abandon these two. The reason is established, because if craving exists, karma and body will arise again. If it is said that one should strive to exhaust both craving and karma, then those who seek liberation, even if they strive to exhaust both craving and karma, karma will
