It is not appropriate to say so, because it is merely not seen on the opposite side. If you admit that, then the teacher said that as a property of the similar side, it must be ascertained by both the proponent and the opponent. Similarly, for the existence and non-existence, etc., on the similar side, it should also be stated accordingly, which contradicts the above statement. The meaning of that statement is that, just as for the property of the similar side, it is not established for either or both of the proponent and the opponent, or there is doubt, or the basis is not established, which is a fault of the basis, so also for the opposite side based on the established property of the similar side, except for the basis not being established, it is also a fault if it is not established for either the similar or opposite side, etc. If you say that because he said "according to circumstances," he did not say that doubt about the opposite side is a fault. It is not that he did not say that the basis of the opposite side is not established as a fault, but that he did not say that doubt is a fault, because immediately after that he said that for what is certain on both sides, that is what establishes or refutes, but it is not said that it is established or doubted on either side. Because he said so. Otherwise, it would become saying contradictory things. The fifth example is that when arguing whether sound is permanent or impermanent, the uncommon characteristic of the basis of the argument is audible sound, which can be established as contradictory to both permanent and impermanent. Because it is merely not seen on both. If you admit that, then that phenomenon, for sound, becomes a reason that can distinguish between permanent and impermanent, because whether sound is used as proof of permanent or impermanent, it possesses the pervasion of the similar side and the pervasion of the opposite side. If you admit that, then the teacher said, how can audibility itself become a reason for distinguishing? This contradicts the above statement. If you say that it cannot simultaneously prevent both for that, if it simultaneously prevents both for that, then other valid cognitions, if one contradiction is prevented on one basis, then the other valid cognition that is necessarily established will harm it, because it does not possess an object without harm. If that is the case, then merely not seeing on the dissimilar side does not establish necessary non-existence, because other valid cognitions harm the prevention of both permanent and impermanent on audible sound, similarly, other reasons merely not seeing on the dissimilar side, for establishing necessary non-existence, other valid cognitions may also harm.
