Therefore. Fourth, if, like you, one believes that relying on expression can accomplish the fruit of mantra, then why is silent recitation not meaningless? Whispering and silent recitation are not contradictory to having the fruit of mantra, because they are praised through accomplishing the intention of the reciter, because they recite while clinging to the generality of the mantra as its own characteristic. It is pervasive, because those who cling to the self-characteristic of the mantra and the nature of the generality of the mantra as one entity and want to say it, that is, those who cling and express, recite the mantra. If one believes that the fruit is accomplished from the very object of the mantra sound's self-characteristic, then it is not contradictory that the fruit arises from silent recitation, because silent recitation does not have the self-characteristic of the mantra sound. Third, regarding the aspect of that state, refuting the debate is twofold: debate and answer. First, if the functions of letters are different and there is no order of letters, then the words "ro(ར་) saḥ(སཿ)" and "sa(ས་) raḥ(རཿ)", that is, "ra(र)सः" and "स(萨)र(罗)", you would not be able to understand from hearing that the fruits, namely taste and ocean, are different according to the order, because you have no difference in order, and there is also no difference in letters. If it is said that the former reason is admitted and the latter reason is established because the letter is permanent and one, then the answer is threefold: the causal order of letters is man-made, therefore different orders have different fruits. To prove that the order of letters is man-made. First, ro(ར་) saḥ(སཿ) and sa(ས་) raḥ(རཿ), because you have no difference in order, it is not that there is no difference in fruit, because your order has the difference of being dependent on a person. Thus, among the three orders of intention, hearing, and memory, the order of the cause, intention, is different, because for ro(ར་) saḥ(སཿ), the consciousness of the letter ra(ར་) and the consciousness of the intention of sa(ས་) arise from the consciousness of the intention of ra(ར་), and the sound sa(ས་) arises from the consciousness of the intention of sa(ས་), while for sa(ས་) raḥ(རཿ), it is the opposite. The order of the fruit, hearing, is different, because for ro(ར་) saḥ(སཿ), after the hearing of ra(ར་) by hearing, the sa(ས་) with the difference of that ra(ར་) is ascertained by the ear, that is, it is heard, while for sa(ས་) raḥ(རཿ), it is the opposite. The order of the fruit, memory, is different, because for ro(ར་) saḥ(སཿ), the consciousness produced by the hearing of ra(ར་)

That ground which has the ability to make awareness self-apprehending, the hearer who is not very quick to hear, when one hears distinctly at different times, the former 'ra' depends on memory, and later it causes memory to arise in the ground itself. sa raḥ (ས་རཿ) is the opposite of this. Therefore, the letters ra saḥ (ར་སཿ) and sa raḥ, etc., have the property that the order of your cause and effect is made by a person. As previously stated, the cause—intention, as well as the order of grasping, hearing, and remembering mind, these three are indeed the order of your cause and effect, it is said, because these are made by a person. Secondly, the letters arise differently from intention, therefore, the nature of the letters in the word ra saḥ (ར་སཿ) and the word sa raḥ has the property that it is a different substance, not the same nature, because the agent's action arises as a different substance from different intentions. Therefore, these two letters have the property that they make the differences in the fruit—taste, color, and understanding—different, because the order of combining ra saḥ (ར་སཿ) together and sa raḥ together is different. Thirdly, the order of the letters also has the property that it enters from being propagated by a person, because it does not contradict the wishes of the person, that is, it is an order established by the power of wishes. It is pervasive: if the order exists in meaning without being made by a person, then it contradicts the change of wishes. Therefore, all the order of the letters of the science of mantra has the property that it arises from a person, because it is the order of letters. It is pervasive: because the person and the letters, etc., are established as cause and effect by valid cognition. For example, fire and wood are established as cause and effect, therefore, the fire in the sense of having the distinction of fire is also the fruit of its own cause—wood, in the same way. Fourthly, therefore, there are three establishments of the mantra maker with distinctions: one can accomplish a person with distinctions through the power of knowledge; one can eliminate the establisher of a person without distinctions; if one establishes a person without distinctions, then it contradicts the commitment. Firstly, the person who has the ability to freely use the order of letters of the mantra has the property that by knowing the combination of letters and rituals, etc., and the power to bless as one wishes.
