Then, you should become all objects of perception, because you are the audible sound that pervades everywhere. The second part is divided into two points: refuting the difference of conditioned phenomena, and refuting the difference of merit. The first point is: if sound becomes audible only because of the conditioned phenomena produced by causes, then the sense consciousness also only takes conditioned phenomena as its object, so all sounds cannot be perceived simultaneously. Sound, as the subject, no matter what causes make it a conditioned phenomenon, it should not change, because it is unchanging. Furthermore, if the sense consciousness is well-formed in order to make the sound audible, then that person should also hear all the sounds simultaneously, because the sound you hear and all the sounds are indivisible in essence. The second point is: if only because one sound becomes audible, the difference of the sense consciousness being well-formed, leads the sense consciousness to operate in different ways, then the auditory consciousness must only grasp one sound, so it is impossible to hear all sounds. Auditory consciousness, as the subject, how can the cacophony of many sounds such as poems and songs be heard? It should not be inaudible, because the auditory consciousness must only grasp one sound. If the cacophony is heard, it is only that many non-expressive sounds are heard simultaneously, but not many expressive words are heard simultaneously. This statement, that there is an expressive nature with different meanings outside of pure sound, as the subject, this is only an extreme trust generated by the power of faith, because it is an unreasonable promise. Furthermore, in the cacophony, when other sounds remain silent, and one person utters the sound of knowledge, how is the expressive sound heard? It should not be inaudible, because only pure sound is heard. Or, auditory consciousness, as the subject, how can it understand many different pure sounds? It should not be incomprehensible, because even pure sounds must be able to hear only one sound at a time, if not, then it is equally uncertain that expressive sounds can only be heard one at a time. The debaters do not consider pure sound to be expressive, because whether it is the fault of having prior and posterior parts, or the fault that prior and posterior parts cannot be assembled, both exist. Therefore, the indivisible words clarified by the sequential pure sounds are expressive.

It is called so. Regarding speech as a means of expression, how can it be established that it both lacks order and exists? Because merely the sound with order can make it manifest. Secondly, there are four cases where the order of letters is not speech: Not arranging the order is not speech. Not clarifying the order is also not speech. An order other than letters is negated by the previous order. Therefore, it is established that the order is created by a person. The first case is: If it is thought that there is no speech different from letters, therefore the order of letters itself is speech, and it is to be established that it is not created by a person, then, the order of letters, it is not true that you are not created by a person, because there is no difference from letters, it is unique. The reason is accepted. Furthermore, those letters of the Vedas, it is also absolutely impossible to establish that your order is not created by a person, because if your order is not created by a person, then it is contradictory to change your order into other different orders, because your order can be changed into other different orders. The letters of the Vedas, there is no order of place that abandons the previous place and enters another place, and there is no temporal order of some existing before and some existing after, because they pervade all places and are constantly spoken. If it is thought that they are not impermanent and not pervasive, then, the letters of the Vedas, it is also unreasonable that you are not impermanent and not pervasive, because that fault is also as in "If impermanent, then arising from effort," and "If those are not pervasive" has been said before. The second case has four aspects: If it is permanent, it contradicts clarification. If it generates essence, it is not a clarifier. Merely removing obscuration is not clarification. Generating the listener's wisdom is not clarification. The first case is: If it is thought that the letters have already been established, are permanent, and the order of clarifying them by the tongue and palate is also speech, and it is to be established that it is not created by a person, then, letters, it is not true that you are clarified by the tongue and palate, because you are permanent. For permanence, clarifying by conditions has already been refuted above. The second case is: Letters, through the actions of the tongue and palate, you yourself are the result, and not merely what is clarified by them, because from the very function of those actions, your essence is established, that is, arises. Generally speaking, what is to be clarified is established from its own cause.
