When investigating the extremely obscure, one cannot investigate using the measure of the power of things; one must rely solely on scripture. Among scriptures, such a scripture is said to be a valid measure after being fully verified as a measure. The second part has three points: explaining the characteristics of trustworthy words, explaining the meaning of non-deception, and explaining the method of inference from the general. The first point is: In short, the trustworthy words that are spoken are the subject of discussion. They are not spoken merely in the manner of scripture, but because the preceding and following statements are coherent in indicating what to accept and reject, and because they indicate methods that are in accordance with and capable of achieving the purpose, and because they state the meaning of the purpose that is necessary for the individual. Therefore, after fully verifying whether the statement possesses these three qualities, it is spoken in that way, and not in a way that differs from a statement possessing these three qualities. The second point is: The visible manifest and the meaning of invisible things, the obscure, are the subject of discussion. When you indicate these, the two modes of manifestation and inference by the power of things cannot cause harm. This is the meaning of non-deception in the phrase "trustworthy words are non-deceptive" in this context. Because it is necessary to prove that the scripture is non-deceptive in the extremely obscure by using the fact that the two measures cannot cause harm when you indicate it as a sign. Here, some people divide the invisible into the obscure and the extremely obscure, thereby compensating for the harmlessness of their own words. Others divide the visible into the manifest and the obscure, and explain that among the invisible, inference based on scripture does not cause harm. This does not understand the meaning of the context. Because it is necessary to determine that there are two types of damaging measures, and the words "from the general" and "the non-deception here" have not been able to function. Proving non-deception in the extremely obscure with the sign of non-deception in the three situations of measurement is the same as what is to be proven. The third point is: The teacher's treatise does not say that trustworthy words themselves are inference, but that trustworthy words that possess three qualities are non-deceptive in the manifest and the obscure.

Because of the generality established by direct valid cognition, relying on this scripture, the consciousness that realizes the extremely hidden is the subject. Although this object is extremely hidden, it is said to be inference. For the continuum of the seer, the valid cognition that realizes the extremely hidden, because the direct valid cognition of the continuum of the seer has no opportunity to enter the extremely hidden. Then, what is the reason why the generality can be inferred? Trustworthy words are the subject. It is possible to infer without deceiving other extremely hidden things, because the main meaning of the hidden is that it does not deceive the Four Noble Truths. Because what you take is the Truth of Cessation, and what you abandon is the Truth of Suffering, as well as the Truth of the Path and the Truth of the Origin, as it is said, it is completely determined by the direct valid cognition. The former uses the conjunction "also" to explain as a category of the former, and the use of complete determination as a cause to connect the words of "showing" is crude wisdom for the extremely subtle meaning, because the former determines the definition of inference, and the latter shows the way of inferring by generality. If complete determination of the Four Noble Truths is needed as a cause for showing the Four Noble Truths, then it contradicts the fact that there is no definite understanding in the Buddha-land. The second is divided into two: stating the assertion. Explaining the refutation. First: Relying on the virtues of seeing the meaning as it is, and possessing the excellent person who has exhausted faults, that is, the words he speaks, the rational person knows that it has the meaning as it is, so it can be established from this what is said, right? The second is divided into two: others have no excellent person. One establishes oneself as an excellent person. First: If one can know that an excellent person is like this, one should also admit that his words have a real meaning, but ordinary people are the subject. It is difficult to know whether others are excellent people as they are, because it is difficult to obtain the valid cognition of the object of others having such faults, or not, for others having faults or not having faults, this is known by other Buddhists. The second is divided into three: Eliminating faults is
